Does Soothe Sore Muscles
The scent of this soak is kind of a citrusy lavender, which I prefer to a straight lavender scent. I tried it out the other night because my hips and low back were pretty sore. The directions say to add 1-2 cups to a warm bath and soak for at least 20 minutes. I added about a cup and after ten minutes, wondered if it was going to help at all. Around 20-25 minutes I got out and low and behold, it did help! I wouldn't say I was cured, by any means, but it definitely helped alleviate some of the soreness. My husband has been rebuilding an awning out back and drew a bath with the soak the other morning to help with the soreness, and he too thought it really helped him out after 20 minutes or so.So we'd both say that this is an as advertised product. Neither of us can really say if it's better than an epsom soak, but it was effective in its own right. I have to say that I hate the bag closure. I cannot get the dang thing closed, try as I might. A plastic velcro closure or zip top would work better and I think I'm going to have to dump the rest of it into a container with a lid. Because the directions say 1-2 cups, I don't think this bag is going to last many uses, maybe four to six, depending on how much you use.

helps with sleep
I loved using this in a hot bath soak. I did not measure out 1 to 2 cups, but I spread this out the length of the bathtub which is about 1 to 2 cups. It took a few minutes for it to completely dissolve into the water. The scent is quite strong in the bag, but much more relaxing and bearable once in the water. I think it does help relieve muscle ache long enough that you can fall asleep afterwards in bed. The lavender scent might also help with that. I took a bath soak in the morning once and then had to nap for an hour afterwards, so this may definitely be better for night baths only.

Works Great But Not A Lavender Scent
I love a good, long salted bath. Does so much to relax me and to soothe my muscles. It's also great for detoxing the body and leaving the skin feeling soft and smooth. This bag of bath salts will do all of those things. Easy to use and is so beneficial. The only thing that I'm not all that impressed with is the scent. First off, to my nose, this is not a lavender scent. Yes, it does contain lavender oil, but not enough for it to be the predominant scent. There's all sorts of other essential oils in here that are good for the body and skin and they too swirl around your nose to give it it's own scent. They all work together and create a whole scent of its own that really isn't one more than the other. Certainly not a lavender based sort of scent. Because it's such a mix in my nose, I really can't even figure out exactly what it is that I'm smelling. It just smells to me slightly musky and has more of a manly scent. All of the properties are listed on the product page and they are all things that are quite good for the body. It is good for both men and women though.Ultimately, this is a good body bath salt soak, but just don't expect it to smell like lavender or all lady like and dainty. It's not bad at all. Just not what you would expect by how they have the package labeled.
