One broke after a year, but then I carry lots of stuff--has to be 20-30 pounds. I ended up buying the same one, leaving a back up. But the other one on the purse is doing well. They work very well for the purse I made. If you don't carry 20-30 pounds of stuff in your purse, these should work well for years to come. If you do... one might break but I still think it's worth it for the sticker price.

I used these on the strap of a computer bag I made. They are very attractive ,well made pieces. they're a more pale color brushed brass than i expected, but also more refined and attractive than i expected

Love them just what I wanted and works just fine even after a couple of months use. I personally do not use the clips part much as far as clipping or unclipping them but seem great made product.
