Very good product. Used as a steak fork or when you curve the meat.

This is my go-to knife. It's a perfect fit for my small hand and I use it for almost everything. I really like Taylor's Eye knives and have several larger chef ones. Good and sturdy with a sharp blade.

TBH I mainly bought this because I'm from the area and wanted a locally made product.When asked about specific product details, customer support were responsive. The listing is inaccurate as the handle isn't wood, which is a good thing. Wood is pretty but absorbs water (or worse) if not properly treated, and sometimes even when it is. The steel is AISI 420HC, which is average (I have scissors made of it) and HRC is 52-54, which is low.Despite all that, the knife is very good. It's well made, balanced, comfortable and easy to sharpen (which doesn't need doing as often as expected). I did my usual thing of making soup, so lots of vegetable chopping, and it worked well, root to leaf. Looks the part too. Go Sheff!

...which I appreciate. The handle is the best feature of this knife, made of wood it has a good weight to it and the shape makes it very nice to hold. This is more expensive than paring knives I've bought in the past but feel it is built to last and the lifetime warranty is reassuring. I researched long and hard before buying our new knives and it was nice to read that Taylor Eye Witness honour this warranty no quibble unlike a certain other Sheffield knife brand.

The carving fork is made in China and the knives are finished in Sheffield, can somebody at Amazon make this clear please?
