I almost NEVER write a negative review. I usually just deal with it. This time was different. I was really excited to receive this toaster. I had been watching it for quite a while and when it went on sale, I bought it. I liked the color, the style, the features that were advertised, etc.Boy was I disappointed with this toaster. It wasn't cheap Price wise. Otherwise YES IT'S CHEAP. There was a dent in the toaster, it tips forward when you press down the lever and the metal areas get really hot so there's no safe place to touch it to secure it, and it toasts unevenly and inaccurately.The photos show two different pieces of bread that I toasted at two different levels of toasting. Not much difference and it was almost 3 levels difference. If you toast one piece of toast at a time, one side is done fine but the other is almost burned. You have to toast two pieces at a time. I don’t eat two pieces of toast at a time. 🤷‍♀️I would return it, but I just don't have time and I already threw away the box-- which I put my old toaster in, so now I don't have a working toaster at all. Yes, I realize that this is such a first world problem and it’s such a small thing in the big scheme of things but when one finally spends the money and have anticipated the purchase for so long, it’s really disappointing to be so disappointed.
