For small dogs maybe?
Was not good for my two Great Danes nails. Brought this as my dogs hate nail clippers. Unfortunately this was not strong enough. Better for small dogs or cats.

The dog doesn't run away!
our Jack Russell has black claws so you can't see the quick. I tried taking a tiny amount off one with clippers and it bled profusely. The pet nail grinder has not made them bleed even though I have taken a fair amount off. Because it is very quiet the dog does not mind me using it as long as my wife feeds her treats at the sample time. I don't think it would be powerful enough for a large dog though.

Great for dogs nails
I’ve been using this excellent grinder for trimming my dogs nails and it does the job at a fraction of the price of more expensive brands. I received two grinding stones and a charging cable with it. The charge lasts for ages and there is a small white light at the end which really helps with seeing the nail better so I stop before I get the the quick. I’ll see how long this device lasts but so far so good. It feels like a well built tool and I’m so pleased with it.
