I can't comment on the heater or how long it will hold up ,but as for the stand is fantastic for the price.Yes, a bit of time to put it together took us 3 or 4 hours.The unit is solid made out of quality covered pressed board/wood.The color is darker than the photo shows by personally I loved the color in real life better.It says it will hold up to 45 inch tv mine is a 40 but it is so solid I would not be afraid to put a 50 inch Tv if it was a newer lighter TV.It is lovely in my living room and it looks like a $1000 stand.If you have patience and someone to help you it is not too bad to put together. I recommend it.

My husband got me this for Christmas. We have thoroughly enjoyed it. We got it with the intention of putting it in the living room with the TV on top, etc. We decided when we got it to just place it as a stand alone and put pictures on top. It really warms the rooms well (we have an open area of kitchen/dining rm/living room) and it saves on the heating unit being used for the rest of the house. We like the bedrooms cooler when we sleep so it's perfect. It is a very beautiful piece. If I had a bigger house, I'd buy another one.

COLOR IS NOT LIKE IT APPEARS! LOOKS LIKE A PERFECT DARK CHERRY! ONLY ONE LEVEL OF HEAT! VERY DIFFICULT TO ASSEMBLE! SO SORRY I BOUGHT THIS FIREPLACE!

The finished product is pretty slick, it does take a good couple of hours to put it together. Mine was damaged in shipping, part of the wood finish was broken off and the fireplace mechanism was making a clicking noise which I was able to resolve by opening it up and adjusting the spindle.

Works very well and looks great. It took me 3-4 hours to put together. Well worth the price. I use this in my unfinished basement in the gaming area for my 8 year old son.

fantastic price. we've had this one for 4/m now and no problems whats so ever. no loud sounds, no damage, and nothing fell apart after using it. the heater works well too for our 1/1 apt. only thing i wish is that it would come with many different colors.

The instructions were clear and easy to follow. There was extra hardware which was helpful. I do wish there was more and better wood glue. The finished product is beautiful and really great considering the price. The heater works really well. We like it because it is simple and not to wide for a small space.

It looks Nice and is sturdy, even though it is not real wood. The color is darker than what is shown in picture, but a nice rich color. Very Happy with the detailing and the fireplace and heater work good.
