Love The AquaJogger FIT!
Buoyancy belt is delivering as advertised! LOL, it pairs well with my car (I own a Honda FIT)! During aqua jogging, I also use a set of foam dumbbells provided by YMCA pool for additional buoyancy / resistance, and am considering purchasing additional resistance products for feet and hands. Belt does have a tendency to ride up, but I don't see how it couldn't -- just have to keep that elastic belt cinched as tight as possible. Am also experimenting with wearing FIT upside down.A friend and I were discussing how we feel post-exercise after water vs machine workouts. We both agreed that we get that nice "good tired" feeling after a water workout that we do not get with a machine workout and that a water workout allows for movement in more directions than a machine workout does. I also find that I'm more likely to feel muscle strain with a machine workout but rarely with a water workout (unless I go all out crazy with extremely vigorous movement). With the resistance the water provides, it's really not necessary to go "all out crazy" -- you get a great workout with moderate movement and by increasing the length of the workout. As a leading edge Boomer, I'm headed for a left hip replacement in 3 months. I used to be a walker / hiker / cross country skier / Nordic Tracker, but lengthy periods of weight bearing types of exercise are out until after I recover from surgery. A water workout was recommended by my ortho surgeon because it provides movement without weight bearing -- and my deteriorating left hip loves water workouts! Little to no pain compared to weight bearing!

Great for exercise but...
I received my jogger in early July and love using it in the pool. I feel weightless and am able to do more exercise than I've been able to do in years (I have multiple joint issues). However, the stitching on the belt came apart and the clip fell off after just 2 months of use (in the pool an average of 3 days a week). I would have given the belt 5 stars if not for the belt issue. The vendor doesn't sell the belt separately so my husband hand stitched the belt - hopefully it will hold up.

Love this!
I read a lot of reviews for this product before deciding to get it. Those who write this off as "just a piece of cheap foam" don't understand what an aqua jogger is. This is not just a cheap piece of foam at all. It is a product meant to assist you with your workout in the pool and it does just that. It helps with water jogging to assist with proper form in the deep end of the pool. Also, while you shouldn't use this as a flotation device per the manufacturer, it does help keep you a float. Please keep in mind that this is for exercise in the pool (water). This is not a life vest.As far as it riding up as others have mentioned, if you get the right size/type for your body build it shouldn't be a problem.

Expensive Recovery Tool
I bought this because I needed to maintain my workouts while recovering from shin splints (running). It's basically a piece of foam with a stretchy nylon web belt.Fit: The belt rides up a bit, but stops when it reaches the rib cage. Placing the foam on the back is quite comfortable and allows for good range of motion (eg running), but does tend to roll the user face first into the water. The roll is slight and would probably be easily countered in deeper water. For proper "water running", your form should be upright. The pool at my gym is 4-5 feet deep, which is not deep enough for this purpose. I estimate I'd need about 7 feet to prevent hitting bottom. Instead I had to run at a 30 degree slant across the pool, which I'm sure looked silly. Either way you'll get tired quickly!

strap one of these on and log your mind-numbingly boring 45 min pool runs in the deep end
fits well lets you train when injured. Dont lose fitness because of an injury, strap one of these on and log your mind-numbingly boring 45 min pool runs in the deep end. Bonus, you get to watch the senior water exercise classes and capture the suspicious looks of people wondering what in God's name you are doing...

Only needed if you're going to be jogging in water over your shoulders
The pool at my gym is only 4.5 feet at the most deep. I stand about six feet. This product was utterly useless to me until I went to a friend's pool that actually has a 9 foot deep area. Once I couldn't touch the ground and keep my shoulders above water, I suddenly understood the point (and for the record, the deeper water is a better workout as well). But don't buy unless you'll be using in water that is deeper than your shoulders.

and this one is much better. The other one rode up and I could ...
I had one of the bigger blue aqua joggers before, and this one is much better. The other one rode up and I could never get it tight enough. This one is smaller so I can cinch it up a lot more, and it's not as buoyant, which is a plus for me. I'm an active fit woman and belt makes me work a lot harder in the pool. Since I only aqua jog when I have some aches and pains, it's important to me to get a good workout. I've been using this for about a month or so, and no complaints at all. Perfect for fit women with smaller waist size.

AquaJogger Belt Mens
This was a gift and I found it a bit too large for me. I am short waisted woman 5'5" it did not feel comfortable on, so it was returned. I know that the instructions said you could use it upside down, but it did not feel right to me, perhaps the woman's version would have been better.

Works Gr8!
Mine came in purple per the photo. I bought this based on reviews of other belts. I have a 35" waist & did not want it riding up to my armpits! It looked small, like a child's size, when I opened it. However, It's a perfect fit. Was tight on my bottom rib, but like the instruction manual said, this went away once in the water. Is smaller than what the other ladies wear, but works gr8! Just finished 45" aqua jogging. I.m a happy camper.

Love it!
I injured myself returning to running a bit too quickly, and I remembered that my coach had me running in the pool back in college while healing my leg. The belt that he had me use (don't remember the brand name) was OK, but it would ride up. The aqua jogger is fantastic! I absolutely love it! It's been two months since I bought it, and although my injury is healed completely, I still go to the pool daily. What a fantastic workout you can get. Thanks to all who wrote reviews here, as it helped me narrow down my search to this one.

Water Jogging For Joint Pain
As a non-swimmer, I found I needed to be in the water to help ease the pain in my hip and knee joint. This belt is the ticket. It keeps me upright in deep water so that I can jog or perform low/no impact exercises. I also use it as an aid to help me become more comfortable in the water as I learn to swim. Definitely recommend for anyone a bit timid in deep water or who need a low to no impact option for exercising.

short waist aqua jogger
First it comes in blue, not purple as shown. Second I'm short waisted as well and it cuts into the front of my rib cage. It does keep you up for deep water workouts but not nearly as comfortable as the original one. The reason I bought this one is because my original aqua jogger was stolen with in the first 3 weeks of purchase and I want willing to pay another $40+ for another.

Comfortable to wear.
Very comfortable to wear and it does help to keep my husband afloat, however he is very muscular and compact, therefore it does not keep him quite as high in the water as he would like. It does work better however than the belts provided at the local Y.

Could be useful for some
I suppose this could potentially be useful, however, I found that I am buoyant enough when pool running to not need this. It seems to add little except discomfort. When you're in deep water simulating a running motion, it's almost like treading water. Without the aqua jogger belt I can easily keep my shoulders out of the water. With the belt on I'm a bit higher.

So far, so good.
I've been using this product only about a week. I still need to try it in deeper water where I think it would be even better, but it works well even in the shallow pool. It didn't feel like much resistance the first day when I used it and then did water jogging. I realized when I was sore the next morning I had gotten a better work out than I realized.
