This tall vase, which reminisces the elegant egret, was handcrafted by artisans in Southeast Asia who specialize in the craft of spun bamboo. Strips of bamboo are curved around a frame to create the shape for these tall floor vases, which are then carefully sanded into a smooth curved shape. Next, genuine silver leaf in small square sheets is applied to the entire surface. Lastly, the vase is coated with layers of lacquer for a protective finish. It is the silver leaf that gives the lacquered vase its deep rich luster, and delicate textured look. Floor vase measures 44"H x 13" diameter. Bamboo vases do not hold water.
