Compatible with original unit
I lost my original power cord to PetSafe transmitter. This one was the perfect replacement. Not expensive!

capable power supply
Seems good. I tested it up to 3A, which it handled for 15 continuous minutes just fine. Its power factor gets better when it's a little overloaded, and its voltage drop is only about 1/2 volt (23.95V nominal, 23.42V at 3A). It's a little warm, but i've handled hotter wall warts that were operating at their rated capacity.I would suggest not pushing it too far: there's no way to open it without breaking it, and if it has a fuse in it, blowing it will basically turn it into ewaste.It has a 5.1mm OD, 2.5mm ID barrel plug, center-positive.

Good Quality and Value
I bought this AC DC adapter for an item other than what it is listed for, however, the specs are all the same, and I wasn't concerned about a lack of compatibility. It seems to be very well made and works as expected. If you need to replace a charging cable, check your specs on the old one and go for it! This is a good value for the price, and I recommend it.

Wasn't strong enough
Our Petsafe 300-3078 would only work in low range mode with the adapter. It appeared to work but made a low tick sound every few seconds and would not trigger the collar at the appropriate range.
