As soon as you plug it into the battery pack the sounds and lights go off as you expect but it doesn't switch off and there is no response from the remote. Tried swapping the battery on the controller just in case but still nothing. Im guessing this is a faulty batch with the new modules so if I were you I'd think twice before buying. I may have to return as there seems to be no customer support. Update I had repurchased to test and this time it worked without issue and I decided to keep the lights as a backup just in case so why the 5 stars. The seller had got in touch pretty quickly and offered a full refund which is great but like I say its good to have the backup.

Great product and works well, after I paired the controller I started getting glitches in the sound but I then changed the batteries after contacting the seller and it now works as it should.During the installation I found there is an error in the instructions in step 3. Don’t plug the headlights in the extender under the bonnet, (hood if your American) follow the steps in step 10.The wires are quite easy to repair if you break one which happened to me after I put a light into the wrong terminal and had to pull it back out, they are like phone wires and if you have a needle you can pluck the broken wire out of the block and push the wire back in. They don’t need to be stripped.It is a fiddly install but we’ll worth the patience and a few choice words.

The media could not be loaded. I wasn't entirely sure this kit would be worth £70 but afrer installing it, it most definitely is. The fact they've managed to make lights and wires that fit below and through lego bricks is incredible and I can only assume this is why it's so expensive. There's about 10 or so replacement bricks with lights pre installed and the rest you put under existing parts.The kit took about 3-4hrs to install and the instructions are mostly pretty detailed. I do recommend looking at the images on their website as you can zoom in on a couple of slightly confusing images.When you're placing the long cables under the car I'd recommend numbering them or plugging them straight in to the final board as it can be a bit confusing which cable goes where when you have 8 of them.The Final install is pretty clean with only a couple of wires visable. A couple could have been better hidden if they were supplied with slightly longer cables (the 5 blue and 1 red light on top)There's 3 pre-set sound and light sequences and the 8 individual buttons also have a sound and light action.If you turn the volume down/off you can turn individual lights on and off to have them set the way you like it. (I like them all on with the interior lights off.The kit comes with a battery pack that holds 4 aaa batteries and a cable with a USB plug for connecting to an external power bank. The included battery pack fits in the rear of the car fine and doesn't effect the gunner seat or trap drop if positioned a certain way.Would you be better with one of the cheaper "just light" kits? Probably as you'll probably very rarely use the sound effects, but if you want to show the model off the sounds and song/siren is just really cool and worth the extra cost.Should you buy it? Probably not.Will you love it once its installed? Yes, yes you will.

As the title says, this kit takes time to install but is worth the wait. It transforms the amazing Lego Ecto 1 to another level.This is my first lighting kit that i have installed and so took me a little more time than someone with more experience but was an easy install.A few things i can suggest are, use the website for instructions as easier to see where wires need to go, take a few moments on each step and plan ahead before doing that step, and last thing make sure every connector is in firmly as if one is loose then the kit will not workThe few niggles i have about the kit are, with the leds that have the lego bits molded around, they need to be rotated and held in place while you assemble the clear blue/ red and rears of the lamps so they dont spin back. The other thing is some wires feel alittle short so you might be putting alittle stress on some when trying to hide the wiresIf you do get this kit then just remember to enjoy the process and you will have an amazing item in your collection

The media could not be loaded. Bought the lego set, I've got a display case coming from wicked bricks, but this light and sound kit really finishes this incredible lego set off. Easy to install, I'd check the company website for photos instead of the booklet that comes with it, as you can zoom in on the install photos. Easy to install and what else can I say apart from it's absolutely amazing. It's expensive, sure, but it really does complete the set. Everyone that I've shown this video to is amazed. You install led attached to wires in between certain bricks and hook them all into a controller circuit board. All the wires are well hidden and secured to the set itself that allows full functionality of the car (wheels, steering etc). There's various sound options on the remote control that's included, like the breaks being applied, car doors closing, sirens and f course, the best....the ghostbusters theme tune. If you have the ecto1 lego set this is a no brainer, buy it. You won't be disappointed. If you are disappointed for some, odd, strange reason, who ya gonna call... ?

missing speaker circuit board and wire

It took ages to install and is pretty fiddly.. took longer than expected to de-tangle some of the wires... its worth it for the lights but the sound is very tinny and distorts and it occasionally errors with it making a electrical buzzing noise but is fine if you switch off and on again!

Le kit est assez long à mettre en place mais le résultat est top. Les fils sont fin permettant d'être discret sur le lego. Celui ci n'est ps dénaturé. Beaucoup de mode avec la télécommande et le son sous le véhicule est très net.

Per la ecto 1 questo kit è d'obbligo,il risultato è fantastico. L'unica cosa non riesci a far funzionare il telecomando.

Einbau in fertigen Modell geht schnell ohne viel abzubauen. Kabel sind gut versteckt. Funktionen des Modells bleiben erhalten. Kabel alle ausreichend lang. USB-Batteriebox liegt bei und soll hinter der Seitentür untergebracht werden. Bei meinem habe Ich den USB-anschluß unterm Auto nach hinten verlegt für den Anschluss an eine Powerbank. Hinterm Auto sind noch 30cm Kabel mit USB-Stecker übrig. Es funktioniert alles einwandfrei. Die Papieranleitung ist etwas klein , aber geht noch. QR-Code für Online-Anleitung liegt zusätzlich bei, habe Ich aber nicht gebraucht.

Degno completamento di un set Lego leggendario! Complesso da montare a causa anche degli spazi ristretti e di una brochure piuttosto striminzita e minimale nelle spiegazioni pressoché grafiche!Non costa poco ma è forse il kit più completo tra quelli disponibili.
