My daughter and I have bought 2 of the same stone advent calender for the last 6 months, for fun. This is our absolute favorite one of all of them. The stones are the biggest of all the calenders, great variety, the very best. When you get it, you will be surprised at the weight of the box. We loved it so much, when we got a really bad one, we bought a second set of these to open at the same time as the sad one. These 2 are my 2 sets, my daughter mixed up all of hers so I couldn't get them to show you.Whould recommend this set over all the others, and if you don't want them raw, there is a corresponding polished set in a purple box that looks the same, also a great set.

He liked them so much that he started buying more rocks to expand his collection that started with this box.Highly recommended!

Some of the "stones" are plastic

My kid is a bit of a rockhound and is pretty sure that several of the stones labeled as semi-precious, interesting rocks were actually just slags of glass with colors in them. I agree. In all, it didn't cost much, but was still a little disappointing.

I purchased this for myself this past holiday season. Was presently surprised. These aren’t “crystals “ but rough cut stones, which was perfectly ok with me. They are heavy. Only one seemed like glass. I pictured them here just as the paper enclosed displays, but this wasn’t the order you opened them. They mix them up for you to be surprised.Had to research many of them, as the enclosed paper wasn’t helpful. This is a great gift for rock enthusiasts, beginner witches, and so many more.

The gems are still in rock form. So it makes it hard to figure out which ones are which

There were a few I wouldn't have called crystals. Look like rocks we have in our driveway. There were a few stunners though. My sister was happy with it. Obviously, since she has opened all of them and we are many days from the big holiday. Yes, I will buy it again.

We are on day 8, and have gotten a few rocks that look like granite. Lots of rocks not any gems. One opal that feels like plastic. Not as good as the National Geographic one we got last year.
