I'd think twice
I purchased this snubber to go with new dock lines, It was a couple of months before I installed the new lines so I've had it in service for less than 6 months. First off, it looks pretty heavy duty. However, when I tried to install it on 7/16" dock lines I noticed that the rubber on the end holes for the line was pretty skimpy. Also the angle of the end holes with the body of the snubber doesn't seem to line up with the body of the snubber very well. Consequently, it appeared that there would be a load on the thin rubber edges of the line holes rather than along the body of the snubber. This was in fact the case and the holes ripped out within a couple of months. I have since reattached it to my dock lines with tie wraps. These have lasted longer than the ends of the snubber did. Go figure!
