Real maple syrup is cheaper per serving if purchased in larger amounts. However, once opened, you have to store real maple syrup in the refrigerator or else it will eventually get mold all over the inside (learned THAT the hard way). Also, dispensing maple syrup from those large containers is just not easy and typically results in too much being used.Purchased this, which is a good balance between storing a fair bit of syrup but still in a manageable serving container. Very happy with the product's quality and its utility.

Exactly what I expected it to be.

The sliding metal lid gets crusted with maple syrup and will not open.The sliding metal lid is attached to the plastic handle with a cheap bent tab, which easily pops out of the handle when the lid is crusted with syrup.The plastic top does not seal against the bottle which lets maple syrup leak out of the seam.

The size and shape are excellent. However there is no rubber ring so the syrup leaks out of all sides on this container making a mess each day. Literally drips out from u der the lid all around the bottle- not just from where the spout is.So frustrating. If these worked properly without the mess it would be a 5 star for sure. But for now it’s a mess.

Just as described. Very useful for dispensing anything liquidy.

We use it for chocolate syrup. The bottle the syrup comes in always gets goopy and clogged, so now I pour a large bottle into this dispenser. If the syrup gets sticky at the mouth of this, I just take off the lid and run it under hot water. Once again, we have a clean and un-messy way to use our favorite topping.
