Great value
Outstanding bow. Good quality. The nocks are new to me. The handle is small, tightly wrapped in genuine (pigskin) leather with a narrow arrowpass, nicely shaped, horn for the arrow pass on both sides. A very light bow will not be very forgiving but this shoots quite smooth. No handshock. It makes some noise, but I don't hunt anymore, so it doesn't matter. Great price. Beautiful wood. It won't win the Olympics, oh well

Clean seamless transition between limb and riser
Clean seamless transition between limb and riser. impossible to tell that you are shooting a break down that breaks at the riser. I thought the limbs would have more spring, Still a pretty solid bow.

Good bow, manufacturer customer service needs improvement
Love the bow. Light in hand and comfortable. No excess vibration. Accurate. Easier to hold multiple arrows with a flat hand grip. I have the Oak takedown in a 30# draw weight. Doesn’t stack at my almost 32” draw. The takedown has an ever so slight wobble in the grip (wobble is way too harsh a word) when assembled but it’s firm as a rock in the grip when strung. I could discern no adverse impact on shooting it.Downside, the circular hard white bone disk above the arrow pass fell out and was lost. I tried contacting AF Archery on their website contact form for a replacement bone disk but got no response. I also tried emailing AF Archery directly about it and still no response. So I had to contact Amazon customer service to see if they could reach AF Archery to have them communicate with me. No luck but Amazon went above and beyond for me. I was past the return date but they authorized the return. I’ll get another Tatar Oak takedown bow to replace it but AF Archery should have responded. Still, I have this, their Turkish and their Laminated Horse Bow. They’re all great. But best value and personal fav is this one.

Easy to carry, easy to shoot
I bought this as a travel bow. Have been getting familiar with it before I go. Usually I shoot a Korean Black Shadow with thumb ring. This bow works well, is a little stiffer than the Korean bow, but still shoots smoothly. I love the ease of the takedown and the compact size. Pairs well with a tonchean recurve bow case, which neatly fits two takedowns and 24 arrows.

Exceptional bow at any price, light fast and elegant
Oh what can I say about this fantastic bow. At the time of this writing there are two asiatic style bows that I really I like that are being offered on amazon, and this is one of the two both being offered by AF Archery. It is a superb bow, and I would class it as being worth double the price. First off, it is incredibly light. It's like 4/5ths of a pound. It is very fast and snappy. It is comfortable to hold in the hand, and it draws smoothly through the entire draw range, really only beginning to show resistance as you approach draw length. Be careful, it draws so easily that it is easy to over-draw the bow if you are able. The other bow I like is also offered by AF Archery is the 48" Turkish bow. You can see my review over on that bow as well. I love both of these bows, and I am getting ready to by both again at higher draw weights more appropriate for hunting.
