Black Cable Ties 8 Inch 100 Pack - Heavy Duty Multi-Purpose Nylon Zip Ties

I never thought I'd feel so passionate about how bad zip ties could be. These are specifically advertised as 8" inch and heavy duty. They are neither:Size: these are not quite 8" inches. See picture of the smaller zip tie (right) in comparison to an actual 8" zip tie. Not a huge deal, but they're a little more difficult for me to use on my project (water pipe insulation for 3/4" copper piping) than the previous zip ties I was using.Durability: 3rd one I used snapped immediately. For my project I've installed over 300 zip ties, and broken zero. (That is, until I switched to this new batch). DO NOT apply any perpendicular force when tightening these, as that seems to cause them to break immediately.Overall, these are probably fine if you are tidying up some wires, but for anything where size or durability matters, go with a different brand.EDIT: I have been contacted by the seller. They have mentioned they are going back to the manufacturer to try to straighten out the quality control issues.

DO NOT BUY THESE!You will be wasting your money.Go to tighten them and they snap on me. Thinking it was just a bad made one. I go try a second one. It snaps on me again. Okay. “Thinking to myself”. This can’t be right. So I try a third one. Guess what happened..... if you guessed “snapped” you guessed right. Sending these back and getting my money back.

GARBAGE! They break before you can tighten them, every single zip tie in this package was worthless! I can't believe that anyone would make a product that simply angers the user. I had to stop in the middle of my project, run to the store and purchase zip ties that work. These are horrible, the manufacturers belong in jail!

They snap like a brittle tooth pick the second I tried to tighten it. sent back. Worst zip tie of that size and strength. They boast 100 lb tensil strength .I I have used 100 per year to install deer fence for twenty years, I ve never had one break like these.

Good and strong. I have another pkg just like it but can never find it when I need it. Now, with two pkgs I should be able to find one.

9 out of 10 broke right away. No or little pressure. Plastic seems very brittle. Will contact supplier. Never bought cable ties that failed like this batch.
