magnificent book
I found this book to be extremely interesting both about the main topic of living with a spouse with ASD and also what it is like to start and run a large farm, plus it's just a plain old great love story. I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish, and in fact, like other reviewers, could not put it down. The writing is beautiful and compelling and funny and perfectly crafted. This is the kind of writing that will stand the test of time. Do not miss this great book!

Excellent book - couldn't put it down........
This is one of the best love stories I have ever read. I am not sure Maureen intended it to be that way but as an outsider reading in - that is what it is. Maureen has a way with words - truthful and witty and funny all at the same time. She certainly has a way with words - I couldn't put it down...........

Searingly honest
The author tells this honestly and compassionately. I felt it was well worth reading for anyone, whether directly affected by Asberger Syndrome, or not. It sheds light and promotes understanding which is so helpful in these times. She inspired me to read more, through references given, and I've learned a lot!

Invaluable guide to life with a person on the spectrum.
A very compassionate and realistic account of the effects of Asperger's Syndrome within the context of family life. Helpful for both partners in as AS/NT relationship. I especially appreciate that the author doesn't treat AS as a disease but sees it as a difference with both good and not so good effects.

Amazingly honest memoirs of a 40 something woman married to a challenging Aspie. The details of everyday routines and the all too common trials of an NT spouse and her attempts to normalise and accept/ cope with the complexities. It will be interesting to see how she continues to reinvent herself and cope with this life.
