Great fit and finish as usual from eXtremeRate I previously bought a cheap eBay pattern fit shell that had sharp edges and generally bad fit but this is great. It was very easy to follow the instructions and I think much better value for money than cheap alternatives.

This shell feels quite nice in hand. It feels sturdy enough to last for a while and looks very nice too. An issue that it had on arrival, but I've fixed was a rubbing plastic sound when the hinge moved. This was caused by a small bit of plastic that I had to file down. It wasn't a difficult job, but it warants a mention incase anyone else deals with it. After that I had no troubles to date. The screws included aren't the best. After some fiddling with them I decided to throw them aside and simply reuse the screws from my old shell. The screwdrivers included aren't much better. But overall I think it's a worthwhile pickup if you're trying to find a good reshell for your SP.

Why did you choose this product over others?: Extreme rate once again nail the product. Gave new life to my beat up old SP, feels and looks fantastic!

Product was what i expected and made my Gameboy look brand new from its old worn out orignal grey shell it came with! :D However i did have to use the hinges out of the old shell because it didnt come with any

Finally upgraded my sp, looks nice but not entirely happy. The screws aren't the best sadly, I found that the shell doesn't come together fully either? Screws are tight but the heads come away too easy, also left a small gap..you can gently squeeze the shell and see it should come together more but it doesn't sadly. I would advise keeping the original screws if you have them. Along side this shell I decided to purchase the nicer buttons but upon install I found the dpad wouldn't always work so I had to take it apart and change the buttons, a shame as they cost more than simple replacement buttons. Overall the shells are better than cheaper replacements, but could be improved. Decent guide for the install too.

First of all, I like this company. Their shells are high quality, easy to install and usually come with everything you need. However, for my order, it came without some of the rubber nubs that hide 3 of the screws on the top screen that go in like a triangle shape. Therefore, my gameboy looks ugly. Also, the tri wing screws included are very low quality - not fitting any of the screwdriver heads I have in my iFixit kit despite it covering all sizes of tri wing. The rest of the screws were fine. Amazon's return policy is annoying especially since I realised this at the end of my build and I can't just send a message to the seller, so I'm leaving this to hopefully get it rectified somehow. Will be glad to edit/remove if its sorted out for me. Otherwise: My advice is to check all parts are there before you start, and use the OEM screws if you can. These ones are just cheap and not good.

This was my first ever gameboy and first time re-shelling. 1.Great and easy shelling process!( they provide a clear video to watch) 2. Awesome feel (doesn’t feel really cheap) 3. Awesome colors to choose from! Therefore I am glad to say I recommend extreme rates for your re-shelling needs!

C'est beau, ça brille (et ça prend facilement les traces de doigts aussi) Il y a plus de vis que besoin, pareil pour les ressorts de gâchettes, ainsi que la petite barre de soutien gâchette. Idem pour les plastiques cache vis de l'écran. Les tournevis dépannent, mais il vaut mieux utiliser un tournevis pro pour éviter de défoncer l'empreinte des vis. Le tutoriel de démontage/montage disponible via youtube et sur le site d'extremerate directement (qr code présent dans la boite) est qualitatif. Je remarque que le prix à monté de 10 euros quelques jours après ma commande..

Nach 4–5 verschiedenen Gehäusen von anderen Herstellern kann ich ehrlich sagen: Die Hülle von eXtremeRate ist die erste, die qualitativ wirklich ans Original herankommt. Verarbeitung, Passform und Materialgefühl sind auf einem ganz anderen Level – hier klappert nichts, die Tasten sitzen sauber, und das Gehäuse wirkt stabil und hochwertig. Besonders positiv: Die Hülle ist direkt IPS-Ready, also ideal, wenn man seinen Game Boy Advance SP aufrüsten will. Auch optisch sieht alles richtig gut aus – das Schwarz ist matt, nicht billig glänzend, und die Buttons haben einen angenehmen Druckpunkt. Natürlich ist keine Konsole oder Platine dabei – das sollte klar sein – aber wer einen Shell-Swap plant oder einen GBA SP restaurieren will, ist mit diesem Set definitiv besser bedient als mit vielen günstigeren Alternativen. Für mich aktuell die beste Aftermarket-Hülle auf dem Markt. Absolute Empfehlung für alle Modding-Fans, die Wert auf Qualität legen.
