It’s a pretty good guide
It covers more area than we needed as we are planning a road trip

Camping book
Disappointed that some campgrounds don’t have directions to their site.

A Replacement for the Original Woodalls With Far Too Many Ads..
Back in the "old days" when I was a kid & my parents were both university professors we had 8-10 week summer camping trips. The upside now is GPS & internet. The downside is that Good Sam's is the closest thing to what Woodall's was, except there are SO MANY ADVERTISEMENTS, it is very difficult to let my kids do the navigation & picking the right campground for that one night or one week stay that they then should be calling and making reservation. I still buy the AAA (or similar) atlas and we highlight our tentative routes for where we go. So Good Sam's is a letdown for my kids to take on that fun responsibility of being involved in navigating our trip. :(

Lots of camping ideas index lacking
Great resource for camping, but lacking in the index portion. The index should be alphabetical for easier to find. Sometimes you have a site name and cannot find it because you are not sure of the region.

If you hate Trump, this might be for you
Marcus Lamonis, the owner of Good Sam’s and Camping World and Gander Mountain has said ,”If you support Donald Trump, I don’t want you as a customer.”If you don’t support Trump, don’t buy this either, unless you like RV parks that look like WalMart parking lots and have full hookups, wi go and playgrounds with pools and 1000 campfires with barking dogs and screaming kids. On the other hand, if you like campgrounds with trees, nature trails and wildlife, check out local state parks, city and county parks and federal parks. Google tv campgrounds and you will find all the parks listed in this book, as well as many others who don’t choose to pay the thousands of dollars in franchise or royalty fees. The 10% off of a $70 site for good Sam members is still a lot more than the $28 fee to stay at a state park, or $13 at a county fairground.
