Smarter Tools ST-GP4750EB Portable Gasoline Generator with Electric Start and Battery, 4750-watt

This is the second one I purchased. The first one only ran for one hour and started to run rough under a small load of 1400 watts. I could not start it again. It acted like the battery was low. The battery was fine. I took it to a repair shop/ It was under warranty. I was told It was an internal problem and I would be replaced. Amazon was great about the return. Although I couldn't ship it because there was fuel in it. I was told to just keep the old one. They exchanged it and even sent the new one by express delivery. The second one arrived and it has the same problem . I am just going to get my money back and go with my gut. Go to Home Depot and get a better brand. The service with Smarter Tools and Amazon was great.The product is just crap.

runs great, I had one for a year that got stolen :( a month ago. This is the replacement. Issue: battery: more-or-less DOA, and won't take a charge. Need to get a replacement; can't find a replacement except online--not expensive, so no big deal.Works great if I jump it from car/truck, runs fine, powers what I need, just the battery issue. My original unit came with good battery.

I wish there was a way to muffle the noise a bit. Quality generator would rate it a 10/10 if it was just quieter......

I have not had to use this yet thankfully. I have put all the necessary fluids in and started and checked all outlets. Everything a ok sounds good.

I did not buy this from Amazon. It is a decent unit. It is not a super high quality build but it is good enough for the occasional user to keep the frig on in a power outage. Fit and finish were a bit rough (Chinese and targeting a lower price point) but it did start right up. It is not too loud. I ran it a good 5 minutes for break in before attempting to run a few sample tools (yard blower and yard edger). I would buy again if Smarter Tools was still in business but alas, they are gone.

Rated to put out plenty of powe but, When my 15,000 but rv roof air kicks in. It struggles bad. To the point where my surge guard cuts power off to the trailer due or bad power. Don't expect it to run your RV with it. Can't do the job. Otherwise it runs good. And does provide good power...till you load it hard. Could be the engine just isn't strong enough to crank out the required 3600 watts my RV needs.
