Cat Versus Human (Volume 1) Paperback – October 4, 2011

I enjoyed this book so much I bought the sequel! My hubby is a dog person and even he thought each scenario were hilarious and accurate! Like when you spend money on cat trees, toys, beds, but your cat chooses to sleep in a empty cardboard box, or why you can’t have nice things, and cats always get to sleep comfortably while you suffer! Great book!

They hate us. If cats were only a hundred times larger than they are, and then they could kill and eat all of us--THAT is the dream of the cat as it curls up there on the couch with its eyes shut, purring like the homicidal maniac it truly is. The "domestic" (ha ha) cat's small size, fluffy fur, and cute little monkey face hides the four-legged serial killer that lurks behind those big dilated eyes. It wants your blood. While it waits for the miraculous size expansion that will permit it to join its soul brothers and sisters (lions and tigers), it will be happy to eat all the cat food you can buy and take advantage of the perks like free room and board, free medical care, etc etc etc-and -it will sit there and wish you dead while you clean up its litter box. Like your mother-in-law. I need to go adopt some new cats now--never too many fur-bearing lunatics in one house.

I only have 2 cats, so the author is one up on me. Even though I am not as fortunate as Ms. Surovec, I can totally identify with everything in this book. The pics with all those adorable kittens all around - just a visual depiction of my dreams.This book is spot-on. If you have and love cats, it is a MUST! If you don't have any and never gave cats much thought, beware! You may suddenly realize you've never lived a perfect life and be compelled to enhance your life with one or more cats. All the little annoyances and messes (already nothing when compared with a dog) will totally evaporate once your cat sleeps next to you and gives you the honor of allowing you to leave your hand on her tummy.Thank you, Ms. Surovec, for a lovely book. I will keep it with my favorites for a lift when I feel a little blue.

If you've known anyone (or are anyone) who has a love of cats then you will get a kick out of these funnies. I guarantee you will laugh out loud. Some are so over-the-top that you just want to groan but some are so appropriate to a cat lover that you'll be giggling just remembering it later. Would be a nice gift -- as long as the particular cat lover has a good sense of humor about their cat love. :-)

If you have ever had a cat you will laugh your ass off when you read this. The author is extremely taleNted and creative...she is so much fun. I have been a crazy cat lady since birth and have friends that are too. After buying this for myself, i couldnt help but buy additional copies for friends. They have all sent me great thanks and have confessed they too have read their book cover to cover multiple times and have not stopped laughing. This is the best book ever for cat lovers..buy it and enjoy many laughs. Love this and so does my husband!

I have two felines who read this book over my shoulder. They helped give it 4 stars. It would have gotten 5 stars, but the cats said none of the drawings looked like them so they were holding out on an excellent rating. This really is a cute and enjoyable read for anyone living with a cat. I saw myself more than once in this cute set of cartoons.

I am a new cat owner but I still haven't succumbed to watching every cat video on YouTube. My cat keeps me well entertained enough.I found Cat vs. Human by chance and was immediately hooked! Yasmine manages to capture the more subtle nuances of kitties and their owners in a way that is both ironic and endearing without being overly cute. Her Crazy Cat Lady is a scream.I am buying these books as holiday gifts for other fellow cat lovers.

The book is printed with excellent quality and the price is just right; it's an inexpensive addition to the cat lover's home library.However I have been following the Cat vs. Human blog for awhile and the Internet version is a lot funnier.Perhaps a newer edition with the latest material would be more appropriate for the fans of the site, but this is all personal taste.The item itself arrived on time and in perfect condition, all the pages look and feel great and it will make you smile for sure.Cat lover or not.

the product arrived early and was packaged well to avoid any damage, it also arrived in perfect condition. the book itself is full of quirky illustrations and jokes, perfect for the typical cat lover as a present or a stocking filler - i would buy this again

One for those who actually own cats as there are quite a few in-jokes; lots of clever observations, some will make you embarrassed at what you actually do

I love Yasmine's cartoons and captions and to have them all together in book form is a bonus! It's a lovely little book and Yasmine's observations of cat behaviour are spot on. I would highly recommend this book to any cat fan.

There is true love of cats in this book, and cat lovers/owner will relate to every page. Illustrations are great too!

I bough this as a gift for my "crazy cat lady" girlfriend. Beautiful illustrations of very funny situations everyone who lives with cats can relate to. The printing quality are top quality.
