SAVE YOUR MONEY AND YOUR AGGREVATION
i found it hard to believe that this many people would trash this product in their reviews until i bought and installed one for my self. it rarely functions as described and promoted. if you are installing it with an existing dead bolt setup, chances are the lock "tang" will be too short to effectively engage in the one adapter provided with the product. in addition, it has an unusually large "knob" that is tough to match to any normal lock hardware and decor. i have yet to be able to make the lock operate from a remote location (any location that is off my wifi network), even when every other smart home product is functional at that same time... i could possibly understand it is it were a cheap, third tier product, but they aren't price wise. do yourself a favor, avoid the frustration and aggravation and stay away from this product.

Defective unit arrived packaged as new
Product arrived opened and it didn't work. I bought a new unused product from Amazon. It looked like this product however was already defective and simply shipped out to the next customer rather than being repaired and sold at a discount. I tried connecting it to make sure of its status and confirmed it wasn't working.I was really sad because the design was prefect.

Do not buy this product
Don't buy this product why was well-designed appearance. It fails to function also tech support is a joke. They have no clue they have no phone call. While the August lock is more expensive. product actually works and they have great tech support. I am returning my lock in disgust. No stars given for the above reasons
