There is a gap if you don’t use the Mission First Grip
This is made to fit with the Mission First grip that has a small extension that fits up inside the trigger guard and there will be no gap if you use this grip. Conversely if you use the Mission First grip with most other enhanced trigger guards such as Magpul you have to cut the tab off. If you use it with the standard flat trigger guard there also will be no gap with those grips.

Nice quality. If you build rifles, especially the AR, you know they want $20 for every little part, regardless of how small. It pays to shop for quality and value. I would recommend this trigger guard!

Saved the day!
I had a gap at the back of my old trigger guard that pinched badly. This unit covered the gap while giving a little more room in the trigger guard itself, but not too much. Overall I'm happy I pulled the trigger on this upgrade.
