Channellock - Plier Tonque Groove 16 (460)

Because sometimes you just need a big pair of pliers. All the machining looks even with no sharp edges or burrs. Everything lines up well. Still USA owned and made here with US steel. They're a little more expensive than many other brands, but these will be around long after I'm gone. I do use my tools but I don't abuse them. A little tip is to keep pliers like these oiled because they will rust if left unattended for a while. The coating they use on these pliers doesn't last very long. Good steel rusts, it's just a fact. Just wipe them down with a little oil before putting them up, it helps. If they'll be stored for a while, use some PB Blaster Surface Sheild. Especially if you live in a high humidity area. Channel Lock pliers are strong and dependable, and will last a very long time if you take care of them.

I've been in construction and maintenance all my life. If I need a pair of pliers, I reach for Channellocks. I've tried cheaper brands in the past. You get what you pay for. The pliers just work. The pin that locks them together for adjustment is not a nut and bolt that constantly has to be tightened or loosened. It is a permanent pin that cannot be adjusted. They never fail. Anytime I lose them or do something REALLY abusive (on purpose) to them, I WILL ALWAYS buy this brand. There is none finer! (Disclaimer...I do not own stock nor am I employed at this company. I just know a good product when I have it!)

What can you say? Made in America, big boy channel locks. Bigger than I expected, but I find myself reaching for them more than any others. You might find them very useful for those jobs that need to extra effort. Very well made, high quality. Worth the money.

Channellock has been a reliable tool for many years but when i had a project that required a larger slip joint pliers, I had to make due with what I had . i looked at the sizes that were available and could have been happy with the 12 inch but I said "If I needed something larger , I'd wished I had gotten one a little larger so I opted to pay the price but may be happier in the future.My only complaint is the finish around part of the slotted channels edge was a bit rough (no big deal) but won't affect the performance. Very happy otherwise.

I'm an electrician and I build services a lot with 2 1/2 and 3 inch pipe and these are really good. They grip the pipe well and have a lot of torque power.

The jaw opening is for about 2 inches or so, if you need it for larger area this won’t do. It feels light and grasp well around your hands, the grooves allow for a good grip and it prevents slips.

Great tool for my pool pump pvc union nuts. Great brand of channellock. Thank you for sending me a new item and not used, greatly appreciate it. :)
