Works for 1 day, then has to be unplugged due to unresponsiveness. Returning.
I bought this specifically to connect my Ring II Video Doorbell, as I was having issues with connection. Before this repeater, my total distance to my Ring II Video Doorbell was a very short 30 feet. From a line-of-sight standpoint, it had 3 walls to go through. The symptoms, that prompted me to purchase this repeater, were this; While I watched live video, or even answered te doorbell, it would lose connection after about 10 seconds.During original setup of the Ring II Video Doorbell, it stated that I had lower-than-recommended WIFI signal. I determined that I would purchase this repeater to place between the two, and put it on its own new sid.It works just fine for 1 day. Then the repeater becomes unresponsive. I have to unplug and re-plug in the repeater for it to work again. I've tried this with various settings (optimized WIFI on/off, etc).I will likely return this product as it clearly doesn't work for me.

Good internet repeater. Bad everything else
First of all any non-technical users that read this BE AWARE that the documentation on how to set this up as a wireless repeater is accurate but a little vague. If you can't figure out how to set up ask a friend or family member with some technical knowledge for help. Even if they don't know basic computer networking they can probably get through the instructions. Also this has a one year manufacturer warranty from the date of purchase and tech support can be contacted via email.Now... I wanted to give it a two but man I have a love/hate/love relationship with thing. It is REALLY solid as a wireless repeater to extend INTERNET ACCESS... However the way this thing works is instead of bridging the two networks together it creates its own and has its own DHCP server. The two networks are routable and don't seem to be filtered but there is nowhere to even create a static IP for its WAN side (or its wireless receiving side). No big deal, DHCP reservation on your gateway router will keep that the same and since it has a DMZ setting you can finagle it into working so you can port forward to it right? Well.... yeah. But not reliably. It actually does this thing where it changes its mac address every couple of days. Every time I set a reservation the port forwarding works until my DHCP server goes to renew its lease and thinks it has a different MAC address. The MAC even has the same prefix so you know it the same manufacturer and not picking up a different device. Also the DMZ settings page is a little confusing. You have to change the bubble from "enabled" (default setting) to "disabled" and hit apply before the web interface will even LET YOU type a number in the last octet of whatever LAN address (on its DHCP server side). BUT after adding the one address you can enter and applying it on disabled, the DMZ works anyway. It makes me think they got enabled and disabled mixed up? Idk. Since it was working I didn't want to mess around with it and talking it into never working again. The spelling is bad in the web interface. I'm not knocking the developer on ALMOST anything because it is easy to tell what they are getting at except on the firmware update page. The first thing I tried to do when I saw all of these weird things going on was to update this but their website doesn't even have a page for it. The only downloads page on their website is "drivers and manuals" and it is 3 manuals and no firmware. BUT I attached a picture of the instructions on this page. I know what these guys were trying to get across because I deal with wireless equipment a lot. Your basic end user won't know what the hell they are trying to tell them to do which is DO NOT REBOOT WHILE UPDATING THE FIRMWARE.btw if anyone finds that firmware let me know. LOLAnyway if you just need to repeat your wireless signal to extend INTERNET ACCESS this thing is mind blowingly stable so far. But lets say you have to do things like print across your network to a wireless printer connected to it? Put your money you would spend on this toward a big brand with firmware updates and very detailed instructions on the advanced stuff. It does not work well on the particular setup I needed it for and if I would have known I would not have bought it.

fast and stable
This WiFi extender is awesome! The trip was used, and every time I went to the hotel, the free WiFi would be slow, because there were so many people using it at the same time. But this time, using this WiFi extender, as long as simple steps, you can share the cable network. It's very fast and very stable.

If you feel your internet is slow? Maybe you signal is too weak
The Wifi signal in my house has always been weak since I switch to different internet provide. For some reason (I dont remember) they had to installed that thing in my room instead of living room as what it used to be. I watch Netflix as my major TV entertainment in Kitchen, but the Wifi has been very weak all the time. I am glad I found this product to enhance the Wifi signal in my house. Now I dont need to wait to let the movie to load for a moment, and my entertainment quality is largely increased. I highly recommend to people to buy this extender, and I also recommend to install in between the original signal and the place you use internet frequently. In addition, if you house is big, it would be better to get more than one.

Has been effective for my needs
Had this for a few years since moving into my new house - this device was helpful in extending WiFi service from my main router in my living room to two bedrooms that previously did not have a good WiFi connection. I now plan to purchase an upgraded WiFi extender from Farfi to further extend my WiFi to two other rooms. Tech support has been responsive when I have had questions.

Works great as wifi extender
Works great as wifi extender. Haven't try other two functions yet. I was debating whether or not to switch from Time Warner cable to AT&T uverse but to be honest all internet providers are the same: they give you cheap price for 1st year then raise your rate gradually. My current rate is acceptable so I don't want waste my time and money to switch unless there is a great deal. So this wifi extender highly improved my wifi coverage quality and saved a lot for me! I am very satisfied with this purchase.

Set it up as a repeater and it will connect ...
Update : possible user error ha! When entering the password it is the password of the existing network, NOT for the new network that is setup by the repeater. Duh. All is well after I got that fixed. Seems to be doing a great job.Original Post : Set it up as a repeater and it will connect to my WiFi but when I connect to the extended network..no internet. I work in IT. I work on networks... it’s not plug and play.
