Tactics Study Guide: A Guide to Effectively Discussing Your Christian Convictions

More than ever during my lifetime we see the need for our being prepared to discuss the hope that is within us, but also to discuss (defend?) values in a world of disregard for morals like truth, honesty, civility. Someone wrote a 3 star review and discussed motive. Gregory does a good job of telling his readers that were not out to win debates, to be angry or hateful, but to present our morally based views, and in many cases to help others see that they haven't really thought out their "beliefs." As another reviewer brought out, this material can be used across the board in any situation. While Gregory uses the "put a stone in their shoe" analogy, my wife likes to use the sower analogy where the soil must be prepared properly in order for growth to be effective. Thank you Gregory for this working aid.

There's a lot of good human relation training in this book whether you use it as Koukl expects or not. Why would you not want to be able to reason with people and NOT make them angry? Great personal development book.

Im excited because Mr Koukl (GK) was a guest speaker at our calvary chapel church in chino hills and his Tactics will be a great addition to our evangelism class (Evan. Exp.) Im doubly excited because our small group will get into the 6 week video course, hence the bulk order of the guidebooks. Cant wait to get into the study and will post another review. Our co-ed study group used the Tactics Study guide, Book, and the DVD as a basis for better understanding of how to use loving curiosity and questions to help move any conversation towards truth and understanding of others and to guide us toward lovingly sharing Gods message of the Gospel.

Exceeded all expectations!Only purchase if you are ready to genuinely see other's buckle under the burden of proving what they claim to be true.Enjoyable read that leaves you empowered and equiped to tactically take on any opposing arguments to your beliefs.

If your really wanting to study apologetics, and the see the way people defend their faith don’t read this book.

VERY GOOD AS A TEACHING AID. A little repetative as the content could be compressed or illustrated more thoroughly.
