What is the space between wall and door after installation?

Max distance would be 2" if you mount the plate on the back of the door. If you mount the plate in front, it will depend on the thickness of the door. You could always add washers and get longer bolts if needed.

Where can I find installation instructions on line?

Awesome Barn Door Hardware

Really like the bard boor hardware. The larger wheel makes a real statement. Had some fun building the door as well. It wasn't too bad to install and the instructions included were great.
