Looking for something different and found it!
I'm not sure what I expected when I ordered this book, but it caught my eye and does not disappoint! My review: The photos of all the projects and in the Stitch Gallery section are large and clear - that's important to me when trying out new stitches or projects. The text is an easy readable size, unlike some other books that use a tiny size 8 font. Also, the book is large enough that it lays open flat without breaking the spine. The Chunky Throw is gorgeous and is going to be my first project - two actually - one for each granddaughter. I love the stitch definition on the baby cardigan and hope to get that done before Christmas. The v-neck pullover, wristers, slouchy hat and zig-zag cowl neck poncho (love the poncho!) are next after the holidays, as a gift to myself. I love that both written instructions and charts are included with each project and with the 60 swatches in the Stitch Gallery. Yes, very, very happy with this book and highly recommend it!

Absolutely Excellent Knitting Reference. One of the clearest written I've seen. 100% pleased.
I have a collection of modern knitting books but I have to say this one is at the top of my list and is used heavily by me. I absolutely love the character of the seed stitch and when you see/work some of the sample stitch patterns inside, you will know why it's such an outstanding book for any knitter. The texture of the different samples give such a lovely architecture to your knitted fabric and takes it into a designer level. I keep a small basket with some worsted wool and follow the graphs to create a sample of each design. I'm collecting quite a few and love them all. I haven't done the color work yet but that is next. Instructions for creating samples are well written and very clear. Rosemary Drysdale writes well so you can follow her logic as to the structure of the seed stitch. I recently found a pattern for a large shawl that is all seed stitch with a cable edge and I'm going to make that after the holidays. As I said, the book is very well written, well organized, clean directions and many explanations/hints. An excellent knitting reference for the serious knitter. Patterns included are lovely and clear. Love, love this book.

great concept but a lot of seaming
i really like a few of the designs and the way colorwork works in seed and moss stitch when you add in the texture. i wish more of the designs were in-the-round, as to knit a number of the patterns you have to translate flat knitting to round knitting which alters a lot more when dealing with color AND texture (and gauge).

Inspiring Designs
If you are a seed stitch lover, then this is definitely the book for you. Inspiring designs with unique combinations of seed stitch and other basic knitting stitches. A very visually exciting knitting pattern book.

Seed Stitch is not just a border stitch.
Good book. It has many patterns using Seed Stitch, which I never thought of as being versatile stitch. Good book if you are looking for knitting something using a very different approach with this stitch .
