The lights were beautiful but broke after 2.5 months.

Initially, upon first using the lights after "conditioning" the battery (by exposing it to morning sun for 3 days, as described in the instructions included), I submitted a 5-star review, and I noted: these lights work great, for outdoor lighting that's far from an electrical outlet.Well, after using the lights for a couple of weeks, I'm needing to reduce my review to 2 stars. If you have an outlet nearby, and can use (far less expensive) plug-in lights, do that. These solar lights are more dim (even after a full charge, after a very sunny day), and unreliable (after a slightly cloudy day today, the lights lasted just 20-30 min, and then went off at 7 pm. if it's super-sunny out during the day, I might get 3-4 hours of light from these string lights. But if it's even slightly overcast during the day, I'll only get an hour or so, of light from the string lights.For fun holiday lights, it's not a huge deal... but if you're buying these lights for a special event, when you'll count on them working for some hours after dark, I'd say, be careful. If it's overcast on the day of interest, you might only get an hour (tops) of light from these string lights.Maybe this is a constraint on the small solar battery charging capabilities. I don't know. I think solar batteries have come a long way in recent years, and performance should be better than this. Or at least, it should be more clear to the buyer, that the lights only work when receiving full sun for most of the day.I rarely write negative reviews, and I hate doing so. but I'm just really disappointed in these lights. Given the cost (even on cyber-Mon sale), I expected them to work better. If you have an event where you definitely need string lights far from an outlet, you might be better off buying a small portable generator and regular string lights.

I've only had them up a couple days but so far I am enjoying them. I guess I gave it only 4 stars because i bought two strands and they would only cover the top portion of my garden arch. I would have to buy 2-4 more to cover the rest of the arch so I think they are kind of pricy.

Since our balcony's structure is white, I wanted solar power lights on a white string. I was so happy when I found these. In May of 2021, I wrapped them around the balcony's fence. I was very happy with the light, which even turned on after days with less sunshine. Even now in winter, with little daylight. However, after the recent blizzard here in New York City, the string broke! Part of it still works but the other half is disconnected.Throughout my life, I had many light chains, and what usually happens is that the solar power wanes over time but that the string breaks? After only 8 months?I would not buy these lights again if they weren't the only solar-powered ones in white. I guess that's my only choice then. I am still very bummed though that my balcony, which I see from my window, is no longer illuminated.

A+++ Excellent customer service from this family owned company. I had a glitch with the lights not coming on automatically at dark and asked a question in the 'question and answer" section. The owner reached out to me immediately to help resolve the problem and happily sent me a new set when it was determined that something was wrong with the initial set I received. All is well, they are up and running and I love them. Highly recommend!! Thank you again for your great customer service - it is so rare to encounter a company that strives for the customer to be happy! Thank you!!!

They looked nice for a few weeks and then they stopped working.

Must be a fairly sunny day for them to light at all. Light is very dim. After a sunny day, they're great.

We purchased 1 set of these regardless of bad reviews. They seemed to work ok, but not as bright as I would have liked. We purchased a second set to complete our new trellis because we really were giving them a go! But within 2 months they randomly stopped working. We kept fighting with power pack to be sure they were adequately being exposed to the sun. Within 3 months they stopped working all together. Other solar lights we had purchased at the same time are working beautifully, even with shorter days!We are so disappointed and missed our return window. I did call to discuss with customer service and they are going to accept our return after all! So thank you for that! The 2 sets were over$50 combined! I will put that $ toward a more dependable solar string light! There are not many options out there for outdoor white string solar lights!
