Everything Is Mama Hardcover – Picture Book, October 10, 2017

We bought the DADA book version a while back for our first child. I thought it would be the same concept with the MAMA book. But this book is hilarious! The DADA book is where the dad keep wanting to teach the kid to say dada first. In the MAMA book, the mama tries to teach the kid new words but all the kid can gather is calling for mama. hilariously accurate.

I love this book. It is a great addition to the "DADA" book. HOWEVER, why, why, why was there no option for the "MAMA" book to be a BOARD book??????? My grand daughter loves her "DADA" board book. It has survived almost flawlessly for over a year. Not so with the new "MAMA" book. Yes, the cover is hard bound, but the pages are PAPER! She has had it for 3 hours and the pages are crumbled already. Seriously, who expects a 15 month old to be gentle with anything?! Who DID NOT realize that the same age group that pages through the "DADA" board book would also be paging through the "MAMA" book with paper pages with same lack of gentleness for paper!!! These two books will become the newest craze for baby shower gifts.I would've given this book 5 stars had it been a BOARD book. Disappointed.

This is a very simple book and doesn't have a story, but simply illustrations and 1 vocabulary word on each page, such as "hat" or "shoes," however it is very cute and the pictures are well done. I think the words illustrated were well chosen, since they are used in every day conversations and can be practiced day to day by a toddler learning to talk. Pretty good, but wish there were more to point to for educational purposes.

We have the Dada book and wouldn't you know, our girl's first word was Dada. They just started making the Mama book as a board book and we got it yesterday. The book arrived in great condition and we've read it a bunch already. The pictures and sayings are cute and she repeats back to me "mama"...now if I can just get to recognize that I am Mama.

I like Jimmy Fallon, but this book kinda sucks. Very repetitive and doesn’t hold any interest. If Jimmy hadn’t written it, I don’t believe it would be selling as well.

Pretty boring book, every page has about 2 words on it. Would be a good Gag gift just for fun but not educational at all.

I liked the book, but having paper pages instead of board pages was a really poor choice! This is a book for babies/young toddlers who are learning to talk. They are not ready for paper pages on books. My almost 1.5 year old has already ripped some of the pages out. 🙁

We were gifted the Dada book and I thought it was cute but simple. Turns out it’s my 9mo old’s favorite book! She lights up when reading it, she loves looking at the animals and hearing their noises. After reading this constantly for a few weeks she starting saying dada dada dada all the time, and kinda stopped saying mamamamama like she was before. That’s why we got the Mama book to go with it. Another hit! She loves it! As others have said there’s not much written words but that leaves room for creativity. I always say “waffle says the mommy monkey!” “Mama says the baby monkey!” And if she wants to read it over again I’ll add “what noise does the monkey say? Ooh ooh ah ah!”.

Bought for my nephew, who loves it and learnt to say Mama from the book! So it works...

Same as the last review on my Jimmy Fallon first word is Dada book.No 1 best seller book my a##His fame will have everyone buying this book.

I bought it for my daughter and in the end I love it so much that I think I will keep it for myself! Beautiful and funny! I will buy also the other one with “dada“.

Absolutely worth the money!Basic but brilliant.My older daughter enjoyed this to.
