Pretty Good - Needs one little change to become Very Good.
I read many reviews on Amazon before purchasing this device. Almost all of them said that the speaker sound was good. I agree. No one mentioned the one irritating thing I have found: When you turn off this device, it forgets what mode it was in. Next time you turn it on, you have to press the power button, then press the mode button before the device does anything. If I am missing something, I'd love to hear from someone. The written instructions are minimal and don't cover this issue. Would I buy this again? Yes. Do I wish it was "open source" so that I could fix this issue? Most definitely, since I am a systems hardware and software engineer.

... capable media device that is aesthetically pleasing and offers great audio quality in a compact package
The Instabox i90 is a very capable media device that is aesthetically pleasing and offers great audio quality in a compact package. Charging the unit is simple and takes about 5 hours to charge fully. Battery life is amazing. I have used the unit off and on for up to 3 days before needing a charge. That is including one day I left it on for over 12 hours. The nice thing about the i90 is that it is portable, but functional while charging as well. The i90 works as advertised in all functions. I played music off of my external hard drive, micro sd card, auxiliary cable, and via the Bluetooth function. The FM receive is very good on the device, and with the antenna deployed, I had no problem receiving all the stations in my area from inside my house. There are also 50 memory slots, which is more than sufficient. The hands free calling feature is a very nice amenity, and works well. Setting the clock and alarm is easy and you can have 4 different alarms. If I had to be critical of anything on the device, it would be that the remote control is a little intermittent starting at about 4 feet from the unit. From over that distance, directional accuracy with the infrared sensor is critical. This is really a non-issue for me as I use it on my desk. For the money, it’s hard to beat this little powerhouse and it looks very nice on my desk. I would definitely recommend this device.

Versatile Little Speaker; Bluetooth & Strong FM Radio
This is a great little unit depending on your intentions. If your main use is as an alarm clock, buy something else. But for me, it is perfect! I have been searching for some time for a Bluetooth speaker, with FM radio and a remote. I was not looking for a Bose sound system or anything with a high end budget. It was very hard to find everything I wanted in my price range and the $39.99 paid for this was a real value for the multi-functionality. It really fits the bill; plus I can use the AUX to hook into my Smart TV (that doesn't have Bluetooth) and use it for louder enhanced sound quality in my weekender RV. BONUS! Another great option, you can save up to 20 radio presets and it has a real antenna (not a thin wire) that pulls in a variety of stations clearly inside my aluminum skin RV. When I am not traveling, this is going to be used daily as my work desk radio. I don't like a cluttered desk, so the radio sits on my printer stand which makes the remote super handy. The remote though, is a bit intermittent and seems to be weak, I am going to replace with a stronger battery and hope that solves the problem. The product was shipped with a battery already installed (I am sure b/c installing it brings to light a poorly designed fussy battery tray) and I would assume this is why the battery is no longer fresh/strong. This is a small price to pay for the big benefits in functionality with this speaker. As I eluded in the beginning the alarm clock is clearly not the intention of this speaker. I won't use it and wouldn't care if it even told time...which is oddly military (you CANNOT change this)?! The directions to set alarms and how it actually works seem to be difficult at best. I would highly recommend this very nice looking product for use as a great little speaker with good sound.

Hard to setup
The manual is not well worded and a simple task of setting up the click is made almost impossible with wrong words. I had to resort to a Google search. The battery seems to be a little small and does not last long enough...I'm considering replacing it with AA rechargeables later if possible.=== FOR YOUR HELP =========================================Installing the battery in the remoteThe diagram inside the remote is not very specific.
