Love them, and so easy!
Love the salt and pepper flavour, so easy to order and stock up! I don’t know why I’m reviewing these I must be terribly bored!

Stale
Stale as a boomer comedian’s jokes. Still edible, but it’s my guess this is older stock. Buy only if you don’t mind them being chewy instead of crispy.

Great flavour, but expensive at over £2.50 per pack at time of writing
These new variety salt and black pepper Snack-a-Jacks are easily one of my favourite flavours the brand offers. I like the basic snack - the combination of rice and maize gives this a rice cake-like texture, but with added corn flavour. They’re light, but nice and crispy. The flavouring for these Snack-a-Jacks is only added to one side of the discs. It seems a bit surprising that a combination as simple as salt and black pepper is a new line for a brand that’s been established for well over a decade, but so it is. The flavour is pleasant on the rice and corn cakes on their own, or if these are being used as the base layer for a more evolved snack/meal.The level of salt added is just nice, you can tell it’s there, but these aren’t overly salty. The amount of pepper on these might not suit everyone as there is quite a lot. You can see little black flecks liberally added all over the surface of each of the rice and corn cakes, and this gives a noticeable kick of heat. If you’ve got little kids who like to eat Snack-a-Jacks, this might not be the flavour for them!Although these are fine for vegetarians, they aren’t vegan-friendly as the topping layer includes powdered buttermilk as well as the salt and pepper seasonings. The box I received had a decent shelf life for the 8 packets of just under 4 months. The one thing I’m not keen on is the price. At time of writing this bulk pack is on sale at £21.09, which works out at approximately £2.64 per pack. This is over 80p more per pack than I would usually expect to pay for Snack-a-Jacks without any kind of multi buy/offer.

Hope you like Pepper.
Pepper overkill... Apart from that they are incredibly bland and the squeek rubbery texture is awful, also they have no nutritional value whatsoever, but that applies to all rice cakes.

Very Peppery
I have tried other flavours previously and enjoyed them so was looking forward to trying this new one. These ate very tasty and a perfect snack for anyone who is trying to keep their calorie intake down.I enjoy them anyway whether watching my weight or just fancy a light tasty snack. The snack a jacks are a very crunchy rice and corn snack that stack a fair amount of flavour. This is my first try of the Black Pepper & Sea Salt Rice Cakes and was very pleased with the taste.I am a vegetarian who likes to keep reasonably fit and eat tasty snacks so these tick all three boxes for me. 38 calories per snack is very reasonable and another added bonus is they have no artificial colours or preservatives.
