Too thick but a great sponge
Would have preferred that it not be so thick. I cut it in half so it is about half the thickness. Other than that, it was the right size and a great sponge.

Best quality
There are knock-offs, but this sponge is far superior. It holds far more water than similar products.

Simple & Effective
We always toss on in each of our kayaks when we hit the water. Fortunately, I have never had to use it for bailing, but comes in handy when cleaning out some of the water that gets into our boats from paddling or getting in or out. It is worth mentioning that it took two 100+ degree days to get them to "dry out" completely, as they always have a minor wet/damp feel to them even when brand new and unused. I highly recommend!

Worthwhile purchase.
This sponge is large, dense, with regular straight edges and holds a great deal of water. When squeezed to remove the water it readily resumes its previous shape. Expect this to come in handy while doing any sort of boating or plumbing.

Sponge Disintegrates
This sponge falls apart as soon as it gets wet. Complete waste of money; had to throw it away immediately as it was disintegrating all over the boat. Would have returned it otherwise, but impossible to do so.

Nice Big Sponge, Needed for Boating but Longevity is a Problem
This Big Sponge is perfect for boating use. I occasionally get some water in the bilge of my small boat that won't drain out (every boater knows this story), and a small hand-held bilge pump gets most of it; this sponge comes in handy for the small amount of water that's left after the bilge pump does its job. I've used these in a kayak for large amounts of water too. Anyone who has a boat needs at least one good sponge.Review Change: After one use yesterday I'm changing my rating of this sponge from 5-Star to 3-Star. One light use, removing less than one gallon of water and the Sponge is split on both sides and with one more use will probably break in half --see last 2 photos. There was nothing sharp where I was using it, and I'm at a loss to explain these cracks/breaks, but it will be going back for a replacement. It may be that buying the kind of bilge sponge with a cloth cover is a better alternative; they are a lot more expensive.

Boat bailer
There is not much that can be said about a sponge. This one absorbs enough water to make quick work of finishing the bailing on our dinghy.

Good cellulose
Pretty big. Exactly what you'd expect from cellulose sponges, it becomes hard when dry but soft when wet. Holds a lot of water but is a little hard to squeeze when brand new (gotta wear it in).

Extremely absorbant
Really draws up water and holds it. Ideal for bailing a boat, especially hard to reach areas.

Super absorbent
Good quality out of the package, but after a weeks in the boat it has started falling apart
