5 Gallon Vacuum Degassing Chamber Kit with 3.6 CFM Pump - Not for Wood Stabilizing

This pot was not difficult to assemble, and I was amazed at how long it held 0.9 ATM of vacuum (per the supplied gauge). The pump they supplied was reassuringly heavy, and appeared to be sturdy and well-built. I'm using it for drying recycled plastic resin before extrusion, so I'm still waiting for the heater for it, but the function it serves for the cost is impressive!

I've been using this for a month or so, and it has been working fine to degas silicone. It reliably pulls between 28" and 30" of mercury, runs pretty smoothly, and isn't horribly loud. My only issue so far is that the pump arrived absolutley drenched in oil, which was a huge mess to clean up. I was worried that something had cracked or broken, but I haven't had any issues with it.

If I could give zero stars I would. Pump burned half of its oil without even running for 5 mins. Horrible cloud of smoke from exhaust. Do not buy! If this had an oil less pump would be great

The vacuum chamber is OK. After several uses, the glass is crazed but still transparent. The pump is useless. It has very little capacity and emits a huge amount of oil mist.

Leaked oil everywhere. The lug nut was tight and still could not hold oil
