The metal box is perfect for storing in a shallow drawer of a toolbox. The plastic inlay has 4 indents in perfect positioning for easily lifting each layer out of the box. The instructions are clear and to the point. Then there's the tools.. Everything is very high quality, The tap tools are heavy and very well built. This set was carefully thought out by someone that must have worked as a tech or possibly a machinist and knows exactly what is needed. Well done!!

High quality titanium tap and die set. Heavy duty metal case and include all the required tools.

While attempting to assemble a PC test/build bench, I ran into a problem. The threaded screw holes were painted over during fabrication. Because of this, the mounting screws would not install. All of the screws were Metric in size. This tap and die set was made for Metric screws. I used one of the taps of the correct thread size to re-tap the holes. This removed the paint on the screw threads, and without the paint, they would now thread into the holes and attach the two parts. I purchased the kit because I never know when this problem will arise in the future with other size screws and bolts.

Decent set. Haven't used it a lot but it seems like it would do ok on medium duty. I wish the case had better inserts for the pieces. The picture shows half in the lod but thats not how it packs. There are two cheap plastic trays stacked in the bottom that hold everything. Wasn't real easy to get the top layer out to get to the bottom.
