Simple but ingenious!
Whoever came up with this is practical and ingenious! Pretty simple to use...slip it over an athletic shoe (or a shoe that ties)...take out or add the inserts to get the height you need to match your cast or boot...I can't believe such a simple thing made walking and doing everything else in the eight weeks I had my leg in a cast so much more comfortable and safe! It probably kept me from hurting my hips and back as well by keeping me even.I did try to avoid getting the bottom wet of both this leveler and my cast because I was worried about slipping. You would probably be cautious with regular shoes as well, so, that was not an issue for me.I hope I don't break anything else, so I am probably going to donate it to the community medical devices services as soon as my cast is off. It was a game changer and hopefully can help someone else.

Well worth the $30
I’m using the medium EvenUp on a size 9-1/2 women’s running shoe. The medium is just about perfect size-wise. It would work equally well for a Women’s size 10 running shoe. I find that the EvenUp works best for a dedicated athletic shoe for standing, working on my feet, walking, gardening, etc. if I go out on the town I wear a sandle with no EvenUp instead, and make do with “legs of different length” (walking boot on one leg, sandle in the other). You wouldn’t want to wear this with a sandle. This platform works great for me, a very active person. It’s stable and completely eliminated the hip pain I was experiencing while wearing a walking boot. I can walk long distances (2+ miles) with no problem—I forget that it’s on my shoe. Definitely worth the $30.

Works well enough that I bought another one.
This is second one I’ve had. I got the first one in rehab a few years ago & it really helped to even up my legs so I can walk & not limp. It also keeps my back from hurting from limping. It’s a little hard to use over a shoe with Velcro closure but it does work.

This thing was AMAZING and really helped make time spent in a big charcot boot a lot easier by keeping my other foot near level with the boot height. It truly deserves 5-stars for function and for value - BUT - the problem I have had is the things are just not that durable as I have had TWO of them fail miserably in the same way in as many months when the bottommost part of the shoe comes unglued and separates, leaving you with a very dangerous situation as your foot can slide and trip you! I work at home, so I did not abuse or overuse these by any stretch of the imagination. They have a product that functions so well and can help so many - just step up the quality control - please!!!!!UPDATE: The maker furnished me a new one to replace the ones that broke and this last one was better glued together and held well for the last few months I was in "the boot". Worked SO well for helping back/hip pain from uneven walking that I think EVERYONE who gets a boot or big cast should also get these. I am like an evangelist stopping strangers I see struggling with walking well in a single boot and telling them to get one of these right away.

Helps Level “Good “ Foot But Is a Bit Large
The product does what it’s supposed to, which is to level the height between one’s good foot (in my case, the right foot) and my injured one (left), which is in a cast. The Even Up shoe has two layers, the top one which can be removed if the wearer prefers to subtract more height (and vice versa). My only complaint is that since the device I purchased is size M/L, this size accommodates Women’s shoe sizes 9-11, but as a size 9 1/2 shoe wearer, there is at least an extra 1/2 to 3/4 inch of length. So when I walk, the device moves, forcing my own shoe forward and thus off the Even Up platform. Thankfully, this doesn’t greatly interfere with my ability to walk. If it weren’t cost prohibitive, I would suggest the manufacturer narrow the range of shoe sizes available within a particular Even Up size; for example, make a product for sizes 9-10 rather than 9-11.

Order ONE Size UP! Great for Knee Scooters too, not just boots!!
GREAT PRODUCT! I wear a ladies size 8 shoe so I ordered a medium. Size 8 is kind of in between sizes. When I first received the product and pulled it out of the bag I thought it was too large until I tried it with my shoe. I do believe the size S would have been too small. The medium does fit, but not as secure as I would like. But hey, it works! I'm not running while in a boot, in fact, I'm on a knee scooter for now and am short and started having back pain. This product has helped with that pain in one day!! I will be using this product for months until I'm able to put full pressure on my foot in the boot and then start walking again.
