Birds of Berkeley

I never thought I'd find a book so tailored to my niche interests - I like watching/counting birds, but I'm not a super knowledgeable birder, and I live in Berkeley. I love the author's humorous descriptions of various local birds - and he's right, the Oak Titmouse is definitely the Twitter of the bird world! - and have had fun trying to identify all of them right in my backyard. I will need to make more trips to the Marina to identify the sea birds, but what a fun reason to do so!

This is a very interesting little book, filled with wry but accurate comments on the birds of Berkley. I love it.
