I had a matein bag before that was amazing, but when it died I had to search for something more practical.This bag is just amazing, much better experience than my last one.The edges are not round, so you can fit manyyyy many things in the biggest compartment.It is really comfortable, I like all the diff options to use it as a side bag.And I have to mention, its convinent carrying it on both ways.This bag is solid, I reccomend it a ton.5 out of 5, and very fast shipping.Took 4 days to israel, to my house.

I bought this “same” pack in 2019 and it had been perfect until the zipper broke. I ordered it again and there are some nice improvements. The materials are thicker and the stitching is more reinforced. It is slightly smaller than my original (I measured a 1-inch shorter in all dimensions) but it's not that big a deal.

When you carry your laptop in this back, point the sturdy undershell towards your back. Otherwise it is possible that when this bag is full of stuff, it will put pressure on the laptop. Otherwise this is the most awesome pack I've ever bought, its durable and it lasts forever with long miles being put on your feet and a main compartment stuffed with folded clothing and other items.

It's an attractive and functional piece that fits my need for a second bag for traveling and weekends away. I can't speak yet to the sturdiness or durability of the bag... i'll comment on that after I use it for a bit!Right now it meet my expectations fully.

I bought this bag to use as a personal item (backpack) for weekend trips on some of the stricter airlines. United being the worst. Since I did not elect to check any bags they made me come to the desk to get my boarding pass to make sure I didn't have large items. Since they don't allow a carry on. I had it strapped to my back and they didn't even look at it either time. Spirit and delta both had nothing to say as it is a soft sided back pack. It really doesnt fit under the seat all the way when its full. But you can make due if you cant get into the overhead bin. My girlfriend and I packed 4 days worth of clothes, laptop, toiletries and some camera items with room to spare. It's comfortable to carry and well built. Has a nice thought out pocket design. Including a plastic lined large pocket so your toiletries dont saturate into anything else should they spill. Very happy and would buy again..

Took this - and ONLY this bag - on a train trip from Dallas to Chicago to Springfield, MA, to Vermont, back to Springfield, back to Chicago, to Oregon, to Seattle, to Alaska, back to Seattle, to California.Was scheduled to continue to Hawaii but fell ill.Plenty of room in bag to hold appropriate clothing for a broad range of conditions yet small enough to wear as a backpack when hiking became necessary.

Works as personal item on allegiant airlines. Love how it opens and lays flat! Fits 15.6 laptop. Plenty of room for long weekend.

I'm 5'2" and this 17" pack fits perfectly. It weighs ~4 lbs empty which seems fairly standard for this style backpack. The features I wanted were a sideopening (like a suitcase) a pocket to store the shoulder straps(in case I have to check it) and a pocket for my Ipad. In addition, this pack also has some smaller outside pockets for passport, cellphone, anything you may need to access easily. It has an adjustable holder for a water bottle with an additional strap to secure it. It also has straps to cinch the backpack tighter to decrease the fullness.A previous contributer commented that it would be better for the smaller ouside pockets to be against your back so they couldn't be accessed by pickpockets. I don't disagree but I always use a travel waist belt for my important papers so that's not an issue for me. I was looking for a backpack with a waist belt also but that typically adds another 40.00 to the cost. This backpack doesn't really shift too much when I bend over so it wasn't worth the extra expense. I'm only using it in airports. If I planned to go hiking I would have looked for a much different backpack. I packed a poncho, sweatshirt, 5 pair of slacks, 7 tops, personal items, brush, ipad, essentially enough for 1+ week and had additinal space left to pack more. The stitching and zippers look like they will hold up well with heavy use. Overall, this is the pack I plan to use for a 3 week vacation next spring. Great price and well constructed. Since I havent used it yet I only gave it 4 stars but I have no doubts it will earn 5 once I travel with it.Update 3/2023 Just traveled to Cancun from North Carolina. I was able to pack enough for a week without difficulty. Some of the things I realized... I could not use the water bottle holder if I cinched the bag to make the depth smaller; there's a key holder on the inside pocket and this was great. One of the pockets on the inside was waterproof. My pack weighed 14 pounds total once I had it fully packed. I'm 68 and my husband is 78 and we had no difficulty getting the pack on or walking long distances with it. The weight on our shoulders were evenly distributed and very comfortable. I absolutely loved the pocket to tuck the straps into. This feature was handy when I chose to carry the pack instead of wearing it. The small front pocket was perfect for our 1 quart liquid bag and was easily accesses.Overall I was very pleased with all the features. I will use it as a carryon for my 3 week trip to Europe since I plan to bring back gifts and will be checking a bag. I highly recommend this backpack based on it's functionality and excellent price.

Estoy haciendo esta revisión después de solo 1 viaje de 7 días.Tamaño muy bien, para la siguiente compraría algo más grande de las que tienen una "extensión" de las que usan cierre para reducirse. Ningún problema al llevarla como equipaje de mano, cabe abajo del asiento del avión.Le faltan un par de bolsas a los lados como para tener más cosas "a la mano" y definitivamente le falta la salida para cargador (esa que antes usábamos para audífonos) que permitiría usar un Power Bank mientras esperas o hasta caminando. En general bolsas y compartimentos suficientes para el viaje.Comodidad no es la mejor, de hecho si la quieres llevar en la espalda lo más justo posible, las correas están muy pegadas y de plano debes aflojar un poco las correas para que "caiga" y así ya asientan bien en los hombros.Diseño no es super bonita ni mucho menos pero no es para andar luciendo en el aeropuerto, es algo ligero, económico y muy práctico para viajar.Durabilidad, para un viaje excelente, la tela se marcó al rozar en una cajuela, solo marca, no rasgadura, los cierres son de buena calidad, no se atoran y no se han roto, la tela no es tan buena ni ligera pero se ve resistente y parece aguantar alguna lluvia ligera.Es una gran mejora de usar una mochila escolar o de laptop, ya es algo especial para viaje y cumple su propósito, por eso, recomendada.
