Work as intended
Recommend that you get a drill bit about a half inch fan blade for wood. Pre-drill the dirt at least the first 6 to 8 in. It takes a while to beat into the ground. I used a 3 lb sledge just make sure you tighten the screw all the way down before hitting on top I used a small piece of wood as well

Worked great for a missing anchor
An anchor in my garden surrounding our pool had gone missing. I grabbed this and smashed it into the ground with a rubber mallet no problem. Worked great and high quality.

Not particularly strong
I bought these to replace aluminum anchors that were bent and useless. These are not any stronger, but half of my pool requires anchors pounded into soil, so I am obliged to use stakes. Aluminum is simply not up to the task. Therefore, I bought steel pipe with inner diameter equal to this product's outer diameter and pounded them into the ground together. Now they won't bend.
