A life saver for older motherboards!
I recently transplanted all the guts from my mildly-upgraded HP Envy 750-427c into a white Lian Li Lancool 2 Mesh case. The new case is BEAUTIFUL and was begging for a fleet of blingy fans to keep the glass case and its future hardware upgrades looking and running cool. Unfortunately, my stock 6th-Gen Intel motherboard (100-series) was made without things like ARGB in mind. So while it does have an RGB_LED header and a 3-pin SYS_FAN header, it lacks BOTH an ARGB header AND a 4-pin PWM fan header (well, the CPU fan header is probably 4-pin PWM, but I didn't really want to mess with it).And from what I was able to learn, that basically meant NO synchronized, multi-pattern LED and NO fan speed control. :'-(So was I stuck with unlit, 3-pin fans!? NO!!!The GOOD NEWS is:This GIM fan kit is AWESOME because it allows you to ignore the motherboard COMPLETELY and instead only requires a single SATA Power Connector from your PSU and its own, included multi-function, wireless remote.I'm now running 6 beautifully-synchronized LED fans, in either spinning-rainbow or cool-white lighting (depending on my mood), and I can set the LED mode & speed, as well as the fan speed (OFF, LOW, MED or HI), directly from the remote. :-)The look is FANTASTIC! And there's room for even more GIM fans and light bars. Now the BAD NEWS:That lousy, grating sound that others mention appears to be present on all 6 of my fans at LOW and MED speeds. So in my dead-quiet space, all I heard was "grate - grate - grate - grate..." non-stop, with what seemed like every fan revolution. I just couldn't take it.Fortunately, I don't hear ANY grating noise on HIGH speed AT ALL, and therefore have my fans running on HIGH all the time, which results in a pleasant, low, steady fan hum, and a nice flow of cool air.Second thing is, if you run this kit without connecting the controller to the motherboard, I'm pretty sure there's no synchronization of LED effects with your other ARGB items. So, I'm pretty sure that your ARGB GPU, Radiators, DIMMs, etc. are all on their own (I don't have any ARGB devices like this, so it doesn't affect me).SO, the bottom line is: I'm giving the GIM Fan Kit 6 stars for giving my existing PC a GREAT LOOK that it simply would not be able to get ANY OTHER WAY, minus 1 star for the lousy grating noise at LOW & MED fan speeds = 5 stars. ;-)

Average LED Fans, Super Low Price
The media could not be loaded. I’ve been using these fans for about a month now, and this is what I’ve noticed so far:Before I get into the pros and cons, I’ve noticed a MAJOR deficiency with these fans. They ran fine for a while, but after 4 weeks of usage, the fans make this unbelievably loud noise on start-up. (I tried to attach a video, but my PC was already warmed up, so rebooting the PC caused the fans not to make the noise. Next time I cold start it, I’ll record it and post it to this review). After about 2 or 3 minutes while on the Home Screen, the fans will eventually stop making the noise and generate regular db volume. I attached a video of what they sound like during regular conditions. I’m mainly posting this to see if anyone else had this issue or if it is just user error.Anyway, back to the actual review.Pros:- Wonderful color- there are probably about 100+ color patterns to choose from- PC definitely remains cool after all 3 are being used- ability to add up to 10 fans if you want *and* up to 2 LED strips- easy to mount and fairly easy to install- super affordable!Neutral:- definitely not the quietest fans in the world, but you’d kinda expect that from a low budget fan. NOTE: the video above makes the fans sound a lot a louder than they are. They’re not actually that loud, but they are definitely noticeable during a load screen. It doesn’t bug me too much, just something to take note of.Cons:- only can change color through a remote, there is no program like iCue or Razer Synapse to control them. If you lose the remote, looks like you’re stuck on that setting- speaking about the vast amount of patterns, you can only browse them in numerical sequence, forwards and backwards. For instance, I found a pattern that I liked, but then I decided to keep going to see if there was one I liked more. After about 5 minutes of pressing the “next” button, I realized that the one I saw originally was going to be my favorite. So then, I spent about the next 15 minutes hitting “next”until I came back to the one I originally saw. (I didn’t go “back” for 5 minutes because I didn’t think it was going to be that long to loop to the beginning) the point I’m trying to make here is the remote NEEDS a preset button. Find like 3 patterns you like and would want to jump to easily, hit the button and call it good- bootup issue mentioned beforeOverall, I’d give this product a 3/5. I’m not super-criticizing the boot-up issue, as I’m not fully aware yet if it is a product flaw or user error. Just be on the lookout and see if this issue has happened to anyone else. Personally, I would not use this on a build that cost anymore than $800. But if you are on a budget build/have an older PC looking to get LED fans, this is one of the best options to choose from.

This fan system is getting the job done for me!
When my new Chassis arrived from another seller (after being damaged in transit, and re-shipped), there was no power cable included with the pre-installed fan system. The seller offered a $20.00 rebate for my troubles. Wow! I was not able to find the correct power cable for the fan system control module, so I got this fan system to replace what came with my new chassis. I have been using this chassis with the 3-pak of GIM KB-23 RGB Case Fans for only a few months, but I use my system all day, every day. You might say that I fundamentally live on my PC, only taking breaks for sleep, meals, and a bit of TV. This fan system works very well. The fans are silent, to the point that if the LEDs were not lit up, I would wonder if the system is turned on!Warning! When installing the fans, you must be very careful when tightening the fan mounting screws. They require a LOT of torque, and if you are not very careful, or if you are using a worn Phillips bit, or if you do not apply enough pressure to keep the Philips bit seated securely in the screw head, you could easily strip it, making the screw unusable and nearly impossible to tighten, or remove. This issue is not unique to GIM products. I had to apply the same amount of torque to remove the no-name fan system that came pre-installed in my new chassis.I hope this helps someone,Ernie

Gracias.

Not for quiet surroundings. The sound this produces will bother you.
The media could not be loaded. If your surrounding have constant sound/noise, you won’t mind this. But if you have a quiet room where the only sound you hear is the ticking of the clock, this will bother you. Watch my attached video regarding the sounds this fan produce. Other than that, the colors look great and the installation was a breeze and that was even before I turned them on. Get it?

These fans are absolutely amazing!
The media could not be loaded. Update Oct 21 after trying to find every way to fix this fan speed its just getting annoying, its shaking my desk and it is audibly annoying, Do not recommend these as there is no way outside of the RF remote to control the fans, sad thing is all 3 of these boxes it came with have the same issue. There is a fan out there sold by the same group that sells this that has a PWM connector to pc and addressable rgb straight to pc.UPDATE! One and a half Months - so its been just over a month, hooked up 9 into the one controller box and im having random issues like the fans being stuck at 100% or at 0, tested with all 3 boxes each one was great than started having issues. I am not at a point where I've got 3 fans into one controller and the other 6 into another controller. Im unsure of what caused this issue the controller is well ventilated where its at so either the controller box that it came with cannot handle more than six fans because when i first got these there were next to no issues or something else, maybe they just dont live as long as other fans? i dont know. Would be nice to have some sort of controll buttons or switches on the controller itself so it remembers what settings its at so i can set it and forget it. Still think these are great values I may be a one off issue, just be aware if you plan on running 9 of them like I have. These things are amazing, bought 3 boxes of fans to use 9 of them and all 9 plugged into one controller box.Has full support for gigabyte RGB fusion along side other vendors via the addressable plug, or you can just forgo the onboard control for the amazing options that come built in. The best part too is the remote is RF controlled so you never have to worry about whether the IR signal will work or not because this thing works wireless, truly fantastic having everything tucked away in the back of the case and everything works flawlessly.there are only one real drawback and that's the screws it comes with, they are hard to get in there so be gentle unless you want to accidentally strip one, the second that's not really a drawback would be the LEDs in the center of the fan are visible which some might not like however they cause this dope effect on the fan blades making it look like they have scan lines through them and personally I love it and thus its not a negative just something to note in case you want a smoother rgb experience with no visible LEDs (this is most noticeable when mountain a fan horizontally i.e. on the bottom of the case or top.)

If you want lights in your pc for an affordable price, this is it.
CONS:Product doesn't come with instruction, so if this is your first time, try looking up the specs first before purchasing. Fan are not that strong, and not quiet too, but you pay for what you get. The wired are too short, and it can feel very cheap and low end.PROS:ALL fan does work, and it very affordable for 3 working RGB fans. Color are great with option and different type of colors. The controller is just the ice breaker for me, it just an added feature with the lights, but the lights doesn't need it in order to work properly. Tips: You can put the plastic back into the controller to avoid draining battery, if you don't plan to use it often.Overall: A} if you are looking to light up your pc, this is your product. B) if you are looking to light up your pc, and cool your system too.. i recommend a higher priced item. I am satisfied with the price for the lights, beat any retail prices on RGB light any day. ENJOY hope this help your decision.
