RV Bumper Hitch Receiver 2 inch Adapter for 2.5 inch to 4 inch Beams, Trailer Hitch Receiver, Fits for Cargo Carrier Bike Racks

Took just 10 minutes to install. Seems like it will be very sturdy. I used two of these receivers to install a Swivelwheel extender to my fifth wheel trailer. I mounted it so the receiver rests on top of the bumper, as apposed to the typical drop below the bumper. Should be abundantly strong in that configuration.

I installed this hitch receiver on a 3"X3" square bumper beam. It fits well, but after installation I attempted to insert a 2"X2" bicycle carrier but it would not go in. I discovered that the inside bottom weld was done so poorly as to leave a large heap of welding steel going down the entire inside length of the receiver. I had to use a hand file and significant elbow grease to file down the lump before I could insert the bicycle carrier. I also worry that filing off the lump and its painted surface will increase rust potential. This is why I took off a couple of stars. Also, just as a matter of information, if you are installing this receiver on a less than 4"X4" square beam, you may need a deep 17mm socket. The nuts to the long bolts are lock nuts, so they cannot be finger-tightened and a wrench of some type will be needed to tighten their entire thread-length. But after installation and the extra work filing, it appears to be a sturdy unit. I'm looking forward to trying it out with a number of bicycles on my carrier.

Ordered this product twice. The first one arrived with packaging broken open & hardware missing. I returned & am still waiting for a credit. I reordered, because it was the best product offered on Amazon. The second order never made it to me. I received an e-mail from Amazon stating that it was undeliverable & was being returned. I assume it was again a packaging problem. This product is heavy metal & needs more then light cardboard packaging when shipped!

Solid mount for receiver mounted winch on car hauler. It was hard for me to find a good solid hitch mount like this one. I used grade 8 bolts rather than the ones provided.

I bought this bumper hitch to replace a less sturdy one. This one is more sturdy and an overall better design. The only problem I have is the hitch hole was not drilled in the center of the tube, so my bike hitch doesn’t line up with the hole. I would just replace it since it’s likely just a defective one because of bad QC, but I missed the return window by a week.
