The smart clamp electronic box did get warm
This is a little bigger than I thought it would be. I bought this to find out if it will jump start my Ford F350 6.4 L diesel. I compare this to the Suaoki 2000A. Both started my diesel with no problems. I disconnected both batteries on my diesel simulating a dead battery. I turn the diesel on twice. The PowerUrus was used to jump my 4Runner 3.4L once with the battery disconnected simulating a dead battery. The PowerUrus was still 100% or four bars. The smart clamp electronic box did get warm. There's an override button on the smart clamp but you have to stick a needle in there to push it. That is the only thing I don't like about this unit. I like that you can start the diesel multiple times without having to push the override button. I believe that is why the smart clamp electronic box got warm because it was always on instead of having to be reset. The rubber flaps for the input/output are hefty so they stay close once you're done using them. Unlike the Suaoki, the flaps don't stay in place so it's very annoying. The clamps on the PowerUrus is hefty like the NoCo. I like the rubber housing protecting the outside unit. The carrying case is good but it doesn't have a molded form for the booster to sit snuggly in. It's held down by elastic strap. The Suaoki case has a molded form to hold the unit but the handle on the case is not as good as the PowerUrus. The PowerUrus is 400A less then the Suaoki but it's also $60 less and was able to start my diesel truck.I would give it five stars if it wasn't for the override button needing a needle to push it. The company says they will probably put a button on their next release. Update, 9-29-17, I am changing my four stars to five because of the excellent customer service. They have work with me on the concerns that I have brought to their attention and have taken my suggestions seriously. I look forward to seeing their next release model. Update, I try to jump my 98 4runner that was not started for at least 2 years. I install the battery that I remove from it 2 years ago. The battery is at 8 vlt. The 4runner did not start with the battery using this lithium jumper nor when I hook the jumper directly to the cables without the battery. That was not a good thing. I did check the PowerUrus to make sure it was fully charge. It had four bars. I did push on the over ride button on the smart clamp. I tried this four times. Update 11-4-17, I took the bad battery I had install on my 1997 4Runner that sat for two years and install it on my 1998 4Runner that i drive daily. It started the SUV with no issues. This tells me that it's not the jumper. The battery is bad so even with the jumper, it's probably not enough to turn over the SUV that sat for 2 years. I will install a good battery on the SUV that sat for 2 years and find out if that will start it. Update 12-4-17, during thanksgiving weekend, I brought this along to jump start my friend's Suzuki king quad 700 cc. The battery was weak. It jump the quad three times so it lost one bar on the power level. WARNING, do not put this in the back of the quad even though the storage bag is padded. The description on the item stays it's shock proof. "【Worry-free Usage Experience】Unique IP66 Protection (Waterproof, Shockproof, Dustproof, Skidproof) protects against rain, spray, waves, snow, dust, sand, and shocks for camping trips, overland travel and other outdoor activities; Plus Multiple Safety Guarantees (spark-proof, mistake-proof, thermal protection, reverse-polarity-connection protection, over-charge protection, over-discharge protection, short-circuit protection, back-charge protection, etc.), ensure simple and carefree use." The led white light did not go on when I used it after I had it in the back of my friend's storage bag. I wrote to the seller and they sent me a replacement after doing some trouble shooting with the customer service. I just had to pay $1.30 for the replacement. I verify for sure that the white light no longer works because I compare it to the new one once I got the replacement. I push both power buttons on each unit and use a timer to make sure I am holding the power button for at least four seconds or more. The new one came on with the white light but the original didn't. I don't know if the original is no longer working because it was in the back of my friend's storage bag after being toss around from the trail. If that's true then it's not shock proof. Of course the original jumper was not thrown off a balcony or down a stariway. I didn't use the white light prior to having it in the back of my friend's storage bag but it was working before then months before. Update 1/6/18, attach is a pic of the latest smart clamp. PowerUrus sent me this after taking my advice to add a button instead of having to use a pin. The button is small so I was able to push it using my pinky. If you have big fingers then you can use a pen or something like that. At least you don't have to carry a pin. Update 2/11/18, I finally got to install a good battery on my 1997 4runner that sat for two years. The truck did not start up so it's not the jumper that couldn't start it. Looks like the starter is seize, dead or frozen for sitting too long. Update 4/29/19, I finally got a chance to use the updated smart charger with the button. I didn't notice this but the updated one has a EC5 connection with an 8 guage wire instead of the EC8 connection with a 7 guage wire. You can see in the pics. The chargers have been sitting for a long time (several months). Status bar show strong. It was able to jump start my neighbor's prius. I have contacted PowerUrus and they're sending a replacement smart charger. Update 7/21/19, I finally bought a Noco GB40 because of Amazon prime day recently. The quality is much better on the clips. It's full copper which gives it heft compare to this where it's just at the end. As for the GB40 unit, it's about the same. The GB40 is a hard plastic vs this is more rubbery. I haven't use the GB40 so I can't say on effectiveness. I just check the PowerUrUs and it's still full charge after sitting for months.

You need this!
I LOVE this unit! I am a single woman who purchased this unit to carry in my new car along with a few tools I thought I might need. The first day I drove it, two women come up to me and my boyfriend in a restaurant and asked if we had jumper cables. I told them to wait a few minutes and went back to my car where I grabbed the PoweUrus unit. We returned, hooked it up (quicker than it takes for me to tell you) -- they started their car and we were done. No possible damage to either of our alternators! This actually seems more powerful then the larger units with compressors that I keep on hand. Incidence #2 in first week: I have a John Deere Gator that needed a battery replaced, but was dead in a small garage. I merely hooked the unit up and drove it out. No charging batteries -- just go in this case! What I love is the small size of such a powerful machine. Also like the carrying case. This is a unit that everybody should own in my opinion. Probably will purchase another for vehicle #2 rather than keeping the old, bigger technology that I have carried for years. No woman and no big, intimidating man -- nor young person should be without one of these. Think about it. What type of person is brave enough to stop and help a big man who needs help unless they are carrying a gun. Do you want your 6'6" son needing help on the side of the road? Do you want your daughter to sit on the side of the highway to wait for "who knows who" to stop and help her get her car started? You can be jumped and running in two minutes if you find yourself with a dead battery for any reason. I love that. If you have additional problems, you could probably leave this attached to the car and drive it to safety in an emergency with the hood down; but should duct tape the unit to the frame before you start driving. You DO carry duct tape in your vehicle, don't you? Better put that on your Christmas list, too, if you do not. : )

Starts 7.3L Powerstroke Diesel Easily!
Awesome product and affordable! Don't waste your money on the NOCO Genius. The PowerUrus very easily started my fully dead (no crank) 7.3L Powerstroke Diesel as if it had brand new batteries in it. Built very well and feels like high quality in your hands. Stop looking and just buy it, you wont be disapointed at all.

Exceeded my expectations amount of crank!
I would have loved to give this five stars but my iclever jumpstarter has a usbc charging port which charges the unit faster and the smart clamps are easier to hit the boost reset button and seems to stay reset longer. I would be willing to bet that 90% of these get sent back because the reset is totally not where you think it is! And it won’t work without knowing! That being said the bigger clamps and more powerful battery will stay in my truck and the iclever will go in the wife’s car. I took the battery out of my Blazer and did seven 4 second bursts on my carbureted 350 Chevy and it still spun it quickly but was a little less than 75% on the indicator. I’m guessing 3 or 4 more cranks were left, which is remarkable! If you have to grind on something for 5minutes you need the 45 pound jnc 950,for everything else you’ll love this sweetheart! And yes,I own the jnc 950 and it has saved us up in the mountains often!

The engine turned over just like it had 2 fully charged batteries
UN BE LEEVABLE!!! UPS delivered it 3 days ago. Have several old John Deere tractors; 12V 4020 diesel hasn't been started in about 8 months; batteries were DEAD, no dash lights, no "click" when I turned the key, nothing; DEAD. No way to connect the clamps to the....two 12V.... batteries hooked parallel. Hooked the positive clamp to the + post on the starter; the negative to the frame and turned the key. The engine turned over just like it had 2 fully charged batteries; fired right up. I ordered a second one today......
