Works great
I had a crack in my skimmer because water was allowed in from the pool and diluted the antifreeze. This now prevents that happening and the skimmer has just antifreeze in it for winter closure.

This worked okay for our pool. However we did notice that it is not waterproof. We placed something on top of it as well to help protect the pool skimmer. I do like the look of it though and it does fit nicely.

Keeps water out. Easy to install. Fit well. just what we needed to protect our skimmer.
Pool skimmer cover is holding the water out of the skimmer and pipes. Installed the gizmo for added protection.

Nowhere near worth $20
It does work, but it's absolutely not worth $20. There's about 1.5" of foam covered by 1/16" of vinyl plastic. A more reasonable price would be around $10 or less.

Worked great!!
Just removed the skimmer plugs to open the pool for the season. They were somewhat discolored from exposure to pool water on one side, and antifreeze mixed w/ rainwater on the skimmer side, but they did the job and kept pool water out of the skimmer housing.

50/50 Whether it works
I ordered two of these skimmer plugs for identical pools/skimmers. One worked great and the other I couldn't get a good seal.Update: I have now ordered this item for three additional pools, again with mixed results. Holding them up to compare, there is a definite difference in the size of the foam. Quality control needs to be tightened up.
