š² Great For Emergencies Or Camping And Quite Tasty š²
š² While the prices have been fluctuating on the high side, not that they're over-priced, these cans are helpful, handy, tasty, with a nice mixed texture. It's like basic one bean beef chilĆ© with macaroni and other tasty bits. It may not be the healthiest, and not vegan/ vegetarian but it offers sustenance in a preserved portable can. It is nice alone but can be doctored or slightly thinned if desired. It is flavorful but not spicy hot š„. I'm not fond of processed canned meat products but this one makes it easier to accept especially with it being shelf-stable, good for camping, emergencies, or just in a pinch with time. Vitamins, minerals, proteins are decent as well as calories. The various colors and textures add to the appeal of this item. *Results May Vary* šIt seems safe enough & salt, preservatives, and cost fluctuation are the only concerns when suggesting this to others. š²

Delicious and versatile
My husband loves this Chili Mac soup plain as well as when I adapt it into more of a casserole. To casserole it a bit more like Steak n Shakes chili mac; in a saucepan, add 2 cans of this soup, add a pound of cooked ground beef seasoned with a pinch or two of cayenne pepper and chili powder, simmer on the stovetop for about 20 minutes and until hot. Then place a spaghetti strainer over a bowel and pour the soup through the strainer to reduce some of the liquid to make it thicker. Set strained sauce aside. Then pour the contents from the strainer into a shallow baking dish top it with shredded cheese and bake it for about 10 minutes in a preheated oven at about 375/425 to melt/bubble the cheese. Remove from the oven, let it cool until it reaches a comfortable eating temperature. Remember the sauce you strained and saved, give that a quick heat in the microwave and serve it on the side for anyone who prefers it more soupy/saucy.

bland but not bad. Easy to eat as is, or make adjustments to taste
What we have is a can of beans, meat, elbow pasta and some chunks of tomato in a tomato base. A pretty even mix of all.And it.. tastes like chili! No real depth of flavor, but it has the cumin flavor going on. There is no heat, yet there is no mistaking it for anything other than a chili taste. Not too brothy- and what liquid is there more like a watery tomato sauce. The pasta is not hearty- it is super soft, but that would be expected in a processed, canned product. Though if it were firmed up, I think it would have an even better mouth feel.I ate a whole can. I wasn't full, but I wasn't hungry after either. I don't think I would ever not eat a full can.--Calories are about as expected (430 for entire can)--Fat (14 total, 6g sat, .5g trans)--Low cholesterol (40mg).--Decent protein (21g),--Fiber (9g)--Sodium (1720mg)is scary, so be mindful of that if you are watching intake. But most canned goods are super high in sodium, unfortunately. At least there is some potassium (1000mg) to help.--Calcium (110mg) Iron (4.6mg)Overall, I'd say this is a worthwhile pantry item. I would not eat it that often, but I would eat it again. Besides for a quick meal, I think it would be pretty ok as an item to stock up for keeping on hand for emergencies, or stashed in your car, or even take camping. While I would really only want to eat it hot, it would be fine straight out of the can (I know, I tried a spoonful before dumping it into a bowl and loading it into the microwave). It can be "doctored' up with additional spices, pasta (or beans), along with shredded cheese and/or saltine crackers. Maybe make some buttered toast for dipping. It's good as is, and good for making personal adjustments. That sodium though..

The spices and flavor are well done, but the lack of meat and the quality of the macaroni doesnt do it for me.
I really enjoyed this chili mac combination of ingredients. There doesn't seem to be very much meat though which seems to be a common theme in these Campbell "chunky" soup cans. For the high price they are putting on the product I expected much more meat. That aside the flavor and spice is really well done in this soup. The saving grace for not having enough meat is the beans in the soup. The macaroni in the soup is a little too soft and tasteless for me. If I did buy this again I would add meat bought from the store to it, and eat it with a big bowl of white rice. Still a good meal if done that way, but on its on, its not really worth it. Also as a side not I bought 10 of these cans and roughly 9 out of 10 cans had dents in them like they were used for target practice or something. The majority of reviews all seem to have the same complaint of dented cans which leads me to believe it is not an isolated incident and that makes me not want to ever order these again, I mean what if the next time they dented to the point of being punctured.

If you like thick delicious soups like Chili Mac Campbell's Chunky soup try this one.
Normally I purchase my soup from stores in my area; however, when I saw one of my favorite kinds of soup (Campbellās Chunky Soup that eats like a meal, Chili Mac) on Amazon I decided to order three 18 ounce cans of this delicious beans, macaroni pasta and meat soup. One of the things I do is make a little extra package of the macaroni pasta and put it in the soup which makes it like a full thick meal.I was also very happy with the quick service as I received the three cans the next day after ordering it. Even though I had to pay a little extra in postage the convenience of having it delivered made up for the cost of the three cans.If you like Chili Mac you may want to try this delicious Campbell soup brand of Chili Mac. I personally love it.Rating: 5 Stars. Joseph J. Truncale (Author: Martial Art and Warrior Haiku and Senryu)

Expect to be surprised
Well, this is canned chili mac so I wasn't expecting much. But I was much surprised. For a canned product, this stuff is pretty good. Plenty meaty, and they nailed it on the sauce. Not just a typical chili taste, but nice and sweet. I crumpled a few Ritz crackers in this and stirred in a dab of olive oil and loved it. I'd easily buy this again. I WILL buy this again.

Campbells chili mac
One of my husband's dirty pleasures. I buy it so that when I'm out of town he can eat it. Not the healthiest option but he loves it - with cheese of course.
