Great driveway alarm.
I've tried several driveway alarms, most are unreliable and annoying. This one has been at work for a month now, sender is about 550' from the receiver. No false alarms so far, amazing. It does not miss anything coming or going, car, truck, person walking.I purchased camouflage "skin" and carefully wrapped the sender. No one has ever been able to find it. My search is over.Highly recommend this for a long driveway or one that is curved and heavily wooded like mine.

Works over a 550 foot range
Although I cannot attest to the durability of the product since I just received it yesterday, I can report that it seems to work from a long distance. The transmitter/sensor is located outside my house at the end of my driveway, approximately 550 feet from where the receiver is located inside my home. The receiver is mounted about seven feet off the ground inside my entrance hall on the inside of a brick-veneered wall...most of the other driveway alert units I have tried will not operate over that distance, but this signal seems to penetrate the brick wall quite nicely. The alert tone at the receiver should be loud enough to wake the dead (and that is what I was looking for)....the base and transmitter units were a little difficult to synchronize (poorly written directions so small a magnifying glass was needed for detail), but I finally got it working. All-in-all I would purchase this unit again, assuming it continues working like it is at present.

I have had trouble over many years with some drive-way detectors, notably with the Chamberlainproduct. The problem was always false alarms. Wind and falling leaves a long distance from thesensor shouldn't trigger the alarm. Rain shouldn't cause it to trigger. This detector had high ratings from users and I bought one.I give it 5 stars. It doesn't false at all. It only alerts on large objects like cars. I also like the factthat it detects people. It doesn't alert on my cat going up and down the drive-way. It's "high-tech"and I highly recommend it. My sensor is mounted on a tree 5 feet above the ground. Be sure tomount the shield that fits on the top. The options with the receiver are great.

This is the one you want ! It allows you to shoot your beam across your driveway to a specific range. You control the beams distance so it won't trigger an alarm by your neighbor next door. You set the power of the beam I figured out. I set my beam to drop off at about 20 ft after crossing the distance of my driveway. Remarkable! I get a pleasant 2 sec alarm blast 150 ft away to my house from the drive way entrance. I've had mine in operation for a year and the battery tested green at driveway but the receiver in the house lost 30% power because I elected to have make sound on loud and flash LED simultaneously and did not to have it plugged to the wall. There are more than enough sounds to choose from built into this unit. This is no ball and chain device and you will definitely have issues if you don't have the time to read all of the instructions, which takes about 20 mins to set up. This was the best 20 minutes I've ever spent because this device remembers your setting after the batteries are removed. You give this device your undivided time and it will give you what you want. PS don't be a hog insure you pick an alarm the entire family has voted on and lock in that tone before going out to the driveway. :)

Won’t stay paired
I so wanted this to work specially after reading the reviews but maybe u got a lemon cause it won’t stay paired for more then an hour or two then nothing first I thought maybe the batteries but no not the problem so might be tossing yet another useless item in the trashAfter a week of trying to get this to the furthest I could get it to reach was about 10’ apart from each otherSeller contacted me via email and only gave me excuses as to why it wasn’t working so if u are looking for the best sensor you have totally come to the wrong page turn back now

Solid PIR driveway alarm
I have purchased two of these. The first for my driveway and the second for another family member.I have the sensor about 150ft away at my home and everything works great. It is probably 200 ft away at my family members house and receiver does not get signal so I had to move receiver into room closer to the sensor. Not sure why but this has been the only negative concerning the system. See pro's and con's below.I've had mine for about 2 months and the other for about 2 wks so I cannot speak to long term durability.Pro's1. Many different tones2. Add up to four different sensors if desired3. Includes dry contact for status. I will be wiring this to a zwave contact sensor so I can then receive the status in my Smartthings hub and automate using this driveway sensor.4. Adjustable volume5. No false alerts - it will pick up birds and animals but it's designed to see anything in front of it. Sun, blowing trees, etc. has not caused any alerts!Con's1. Cannot turn 'off' - can only move switch to light only if you do not desire sound at any time (night time, for example)2. When I called tech support to see if I could turn it off, I was told I could purchase a power supply to plug into wall. However, I could not see where there is a way the receiver could accept AC power? The downside is that batterylife at receiver could be greatly reduced if it turns on and off during certain situations.3. Range - one that I purchased does not work when sensor is about 200ft away????

Inconsistent Alarm...Try a Different Product
Does not work consistently on my 100 yard straight clear line of sight driveway.. Moved it up the drive to approx. 15 yards from receiver and worked consistently for a couple of weeks ....now triggering false alarms regularly. In addition directions lacking clarity. I'd send back it back but tossed packaging so stuck with it ..better to have no alarm than inconsistency...PIA....will toss it and hope to find another replacement product that is reliable.
