Lionkingcase Galaxy Note 8 Case, Thin Soft TPU Crystal Clear Slim Anti Slip Case Transparent Back Protector Cover for Samsung Galaxy Note 8

I've had this case for about a year. I purchased a separate screen protector as this only fits the back. Overall really like the case. It's not bulky so you still have a sleek phone. I'm not prone to dropping my phone but the edges are wrapped in a plastic/rubber material. The one downside is that the phone can't read your fingerprint due to the case. The black band that goes across the camera section is raised up a little not allowing for a flat read of your fingerprint.

This case is exactly what I was looking for. It keeps the sleek, elegant feel of the Note 8 while giving it some protection. Im not sure how it would hold up if it were to fall from several feet but it keeps it from daily scratches and gathering scrapes from laying it on surfaces. The plastic glass back is great because again it keeps the beauty of the phone intact and in view. The groove around the camera lens I actually enjoy because it guides my finger to the right place for the fingerprint scanner. The only thing I don't like are the words around the lens... "Autofocus True Tone Flash". No idea why it is there but hopefully future versions eliminate it. Out of 4 cases that I have, this stays on 90 percent of the time. The only time I change it is when I'm going out hiking and something that might really damage it. I love this case!

The media could not be loaded.  (+) Design build/quality: Well made product. The transparent plastic backing is great for showing off either a skin or the stock glassback's color itself. The black rubber around the frame and camera/fingerprint sensor bar are nice, understated touch that elevates the product's aesthetic (especially given the pricepoint).(+) Durability [within 1st week]: I'm constantly removing/re-applying the case since I frequently use my Samsung DeX Pad. So far, so good.(+) Functionality: Volume/power/(and sadly, Bixby) button covers are responsive. Cut outs for the headphone jack, type-c port, and S-Pen are wide enough.(-) Functionality: **Fingerprint sensor cutout is too narrow** Major hindrance - I estimate that the sesnor registers my fingerprint 1 out of every 15+ tries. I've resorted to using a pattern unlock as my main security lock type, AND taking the case off for Samsung Pass/other biometric services.The only workaround is to physically cut the rubber surrounding the fingerprint sensor cutout, which I'd rather NOT do.

I can't speak on durability at this point because I've only had my case for couple days now. But I do love the look, the feel and thinness of the case. And it fits perfectly on my phone. So far I only have good things to say about this case. I will do another review if I notice any problem with the case but I do recommend the case to any galaxy note 8 owners. Given the size of the phone, you do need a case like this, thats thin and can protect your phone from minor falls and scratches and still maintain the smooth feel and slim look of your phone.

Looks amazing with a red dbrand dragonskin! Also love the little separation of the fingerprint scanner. The cutout for it is a bit deep but it can still read my fingerprint, so it's all good.**UPDATE**After about almost a month of use, I have one con to this case. The Fingerprint cutout is deep, as in, the plastic around it is very thick. Although it's really easy to identify where it is, the depth of the cutout is so deep that when I use my fingerprint to unlock my phone or use it to gain access to my apps, it reads about 40% of the time since my entire finger tip doesn't fill up the fingerprint scanner. I tried to get my phone to relearn my fingerprint with the case on so maybe it'll read more efficiently, but instead it didn't even register my fingerprint at all. So for that reason, I had deducted 2 stars, since it obstructs a major component of the phone that I use daily if not multiple times a day. Other than that, the clear plastic has not seen any signs of turning yellow, and it's pretty scratch resistant. If you don't use your fingerprint scanner as much as I do, purchase this case! But those who use it frequently, just be aware of that dilemma.

I bought the black version of this case and after a dozen or so other cases for my Note 8 (I've got a case buying problem), this is my favorite. Fits nice and tight with perfect cutouts. It's slimmer than the Speigen TPU case and feels just as protected. The clear back looks great with the Orchid Gray underneath. Despite the other reviews complaining about the fingerprint reader inset, I love it. It guides your fingertip right to the sensor. If you have problems with it, just re-scan your fingerprints with the case on.

Felt like a great case and was very impressed with it UNTIL I tried using the fingerprint scanner. I can not imagine anyone being able to use the scanner with this case. I tried over and over and over adjusting my grip to it not once reading. The reason why it does not work with the case is the designed slot for your finger being too small. The area around the fingerprint scanner is raised and isolated allowing only the smallest portion of your finger to reach the scanner that is depressed into the phone. Unfortunately I purchased the black and red case and will be returning the red one. **I tried to cut away the portioned plastic to allow my finger to work with the scanner or I would return the black one as well.** If you don't use your finger print scanner I would recommend.

Better than I expected. This case is very sleek and super slim. At times it doesn't even feel like the phone has a case on it. The only con that I would mention about this case is the rubber border. It's very smooth. I have to be extra careful not to be too hasty or complacent when picking up or holding my Note, otherwise I feel it would just slip out of my hand. Other than that, it is the case that I have been looking for.
