Excellent wide angle choice. Reliable. Best Price/Performance available.
I've used a lot of different web security cameras at multiple properties over the past several years, and this is one of my favorites. The 180 degree wide angle view lets you monitor an entire large room with just one camera, which is more convenient and efficient than placing multiple cameras with overlapping fields of view. The optics, resolution, and distortion resolution are not quite as good as the Omna, but the Omna is extraordinarily unreliable (drops its remote connection every few days), so the Zmodo wins hands down. The camera is larger and more visible than the D-Link Mini HD (one of my other favorites), but the tilt base on this Zmodo camera makes it more flexible than the D-Link Mini, which doesn't tilt and therefore can't be placed in high locations. I do wish the Zmodo base were weighted better; when you tilt it all the way forward, the camera tips over (I solved this problem by sticking a lead sinker on the back of the base with some Quake Hold putty). Two huge advantages of the Zmodo: 1) Reliability. The camera maintains its remote connection for months. This should be the sine qua non of web security cameras, but many drop connections regularly, so this is a huge plus for Zmodo. 2) Every time the Zmodo camera sense an event (e.g., motion), it records a short clip, about ten seconds. Even without an additional subscription, these event clips can be viewed in the app for a day after they happen. This huge, since most cameras require a costly subscription for any after-the-fact viewing. BTW, I also own four of the non wide angle Zmodo cameras (which are the best value on the market for basic security cameras) and the "eyeball" 180 model (innovative design, but with more limited down angle). All have been equally reliable, easy to install, and easy to use, with a common app that was good to start and has improved with regular upgrades. If you're looking for a suite of security cameras, Zmodo is my #1 recommendation. (If you're looking for the least obtrusive cameras, and will be placing them at eye level or below, the D-Link mini is a good choice; and the D-Link 1080p 180 degree camera is a good alternative to the Zmodo 180, although the D-Link is much slower to connect via the app.)

Great camera super wide field of view like it says 180 degrees.
Night Vision is not as good as say their 720p variations just not as bright I believe but it works just fine.Motions detection is great there may be misses or false reports just be sure to set you detection level a bit higher and your viewing area to an area that there is not constant motion or say blinking of light from a tv or some other source of light.Picture quality is A okay in my book look I'm not trying to prove that someone has a pimple vs a scratch on their hand it is simply a protection if someone is here that shouldn't be here they will be recorded in the cloud a real simple thing and they will then have to answer for that. But for the price the picture is clear and not grainy it is HD resolution what more could you want its better than 720p variants and its easy to notice. I have an ez cam thats about the same look as this cam but the picture is not quite as good.

UPDATE - Initially Totally Failed When it Came to Audio - Now It Works
I bought one of these cameras specifically because of its reported full-duplex audio. If someone enters my apartment I want to be able to ask them who they are, why they entered, etc. in case they are maintenance people. They are supposed to give notice but they're allowed to enter without notice in the event of an emergency. The audio in the camera is totally unusable. I did find the volume slide in the app and regardless of setting when I spoke into my cell phone the audio from the security camera is extremely faint. One would have to be in a totally quiet room and be near the camera to hear anything clearly. As for hearing anything from the camera any sound I hear is static or loud distorted noise. It's impossible to carry on even the simplest conversation. I have an iPhone with a good microphone so it's not my phone and I have a Comcast 75Mb Internet connection and five bars of wireless signal so its not my network. The audio in my alarm system wireless security camera is always very clear, I just can't talk back with it.I emailed support and they suggested I must have received a defective camera and the fastest way to get a good one would be to return it to Amazon and order another which I did. The replacement camera is just as bad. I did hear one word spoken near my second camera. The first word spoken was clear and understandable, the second word was static and then it went silent. I powered off the camera, rebooted my cell phone with no improvement. In my opinion these cameras are junk when it comes to audio. As far as video I couldn't be happier. The 180 degree view is clear without "fisheye" distortion and the motion sensor works as advertised. At night the infrared allows a clear view of my apartment even in almost total darkness so the video is absolutely great. I'm an IT professional and the setup took several attempts with both cameras before they were wirelessly connected. The setup and documentation need to be improved.I'm giving this camera only one star because it totally fails with a critical component of its monitoring, the audio. If the vendor can ship me one that has been tested and works I will change my review.UPDATE - I decided to test audio in the second camera again right before initiating the return process for it as well. I have no explanation for it but now audio is clear as a bell. I can speak into my cell phone and my voice is loud and clear from the camera. If someone speaks in the room I can hear it clearly in my cell phone. I know of nothing that has changed, it just now works. I hope it stays working! I'm changing my rating to four stars. It truly is a great camera when everything works. It would be five stars for sure if everything had worked as it should have right out of the box. Good luck to anyone who buys the camera, if it works properly you'll have a great security camera.

Impressed with Zmodo Company !
I’ve had the Sight 180 C wide angle camera for two weeks now. Here is my assessment:Super easy to set up, a nice profile and a camera that is disguised by its appearance. I have not had any problems with it since it has been running; the only thing I would caution is that if you decide to move the Sight camera 180 C to another location, be sure to check the USB cable to assure that it is tightly secured in its place on the back side of camera. The clips and HD picture are super clear. I am aware that there are many other companies out there. I researched those also but finally came to the decision to buy the Sight 180 C camera based on its positive reviews, ease of use, and setup. The wide angle, 1080 p and and the many sincere customer reviews were also important to me. I like the Company and friendly customer service both with the company and with Amazon. The photo is night vision !
