Does the front wheel swivel/rotate/turn - or is it stationary?

Yes. It swivels and turns. It is NOT stationary. This came in handy when our dog tore her ACL.

I own the large trailer but the seller is out of the large size conversion. will the medium stroller conversion fit my large trailer?

Thank you for reaching out with this question. You would need the same size as the trailer that you have.

How can I collapse this without taking the whole thing apart?

You don't take the whole thing apart. Take off: Strollers handlebars Side Wheels Front Gooseneck wheel Remove crossbar , two side bolts Fold sides into center stays about 6" flat, 224" x 36" rectangle
