When I started noticing grey strands showing up in my hair I had to think about adjusting my haircare. From my mother’s experience, I know that grey hair tends to look dry and lifeless. Almost as if it is starved of something. My thought was that if I start putting in place some kind of preventive measures I could avoid having that massive problem of dead-looking hair when I go completely grey.Apart from introducing deep moisture hair masks into my weekly hair care, I started trying various conditioners designed for grey hair.This Charles Worthington ColourPlex Smoothing Grey Conditioner formula is tailored to hair that requires extra moisturiser. It beautifully smoothes the strands and seals in moisture.I apply a large amount directly to the lengths and ends of the hair and only a little to the scalp.Apart from leaving my hair silky soft, it also detangles the hair and leaves it feeling freshI enjoy the results along with the divine fragrance that this conditioner leaves in my hair.

After reading the reviews I was hoping this would stop my grey hair from going yellow. But so far no miracles. So had to go back to using a purple shampoo, again no miracles but better at hiding the yellow !

I’ve been a fan of Charles Worthington ColourPlex products for years, especially the purple ones for blonde hair, but since fully growing out my grey there’s been nothing for we silver sisters (and brothers) up until now with this ColourPlex Smoothing Grey conditioner in a 250 ml tube. Along with the shampoo first this conditioner smells gorgeous and is a creamy consistency that glides through my long hair. It doesn’t stain my hands or nails and my hair feels softer and looks more tamed from its usual frizzy self. I haven’t noticed a difference in the colour or brightness of my hair but having used purple shampoos/conditioners before I knew this one needs time to build into the hair too. So far so good though. Another amazing product from Charles Worthington, I have never used a conditioner designed for grey hair before so this was my first time after washing my hair. I only needed a small amount of conditioner to massage into my hair and I felt a softness to my hair that I have never felt before when it was applied. Once rinsed I styled my hair without any static / fly away hair which unfortunately is how my hair naturally is. I was shocked at how healthy and bouncy my hair looked once dry and this is now my favourite product. I would not hesitate recommending this conditioner to anyone -you will have amazing hair!
