MerrellMen's Moab 3 Hiking Shoe

Good quality, good price, and very comfortable. Great fit, true to size, lightweight. My boyfriend love them.

I’ve gone on four hikes with these shoes so far, all under different conditions (2.5 miles rocky along a river and challenging over fallen trees and boulders, 1.5 miles rocky and hilly, 1 mile more challenging with very muddy and hilly conditions and crossing shallow water, and 4 miles on flat gravel rail trail. All were warm weather. I didn’t slip at all. The shoes are not waterproof but no water seeped in. The shoes remained comfortable and I was able to clean them well with a brush and water with no damage. Very happy with how they felt, performed, and held up, especially since I have a wide forefoot and the Wide fit me perfectly without heel slippage. I highly recommend these to casual weekend hikers like myself.

I wanted to replace my older hiking gym shoe with something good....I will be doing a lot of mountain trail hiking soon....I found these and got them. I wore them the day I got them and did a 5 mile walk to help break them in. Very comfortable! Fit perfect. I normally wear a size 12 and these fit perfectly. They are not tight at all so width and overall size is spot on. I had no issues with rubbing or foot fatigue. They have a nice strong fairly stiff sole which is what I really wanted so they will be perfect for trail hiking. They seam well made and appear to breathe nicely. They will get put to that test when I go back out to Arizona and use them for desert hikes. They are not too heavy at all and not light like a running shoe...they are perfectly weighted in my opinion for normal hikes. If you want light weights, you have to get running shoes. If you want strong sturdy soles that will absorb bumpy terrain and get good traction, these work very well! Very happy I got them and would highly recommend them.

I've always been a Keen fan but decided to give these a try mostly because of the price. Overall I'm happy with these shoes so here are the Pro's and Con's.PRO'S1. The overall fit is perfect no need to size up or down.2. They have a comfortable padded collar that wraps around your ankle and heal for support.3. They are very easy to slip on and off with the loop pull on the back of the heal. The design is perfect.4. The color is spot right on with the pictures and the shoes are nice to look at.5. The quality is very good and the shoes are well put together.6. The soles are grippy even in wet conditions.7. I've worn them on a couple of warm sunny days without my feet getting hot. That's a big thing for me. They breath just fine.THE CON'S!. Not much insole padding on these. ( Keen's are much better ) The overall support is good but the shoe in general lacks that nice padded feel. It hits rather hard.2. You can't add a thick padded insole because it will interfere with the fit of the shoe. I tried it didn't work.3. I finally added a Dr Scholls foam insole, the thinnest one I could find. It seems to be working but time will tell. That was a $10 hit. So much for trying to save money.4. This was the one star deduction.I hope the shoes get more comfortable as they brake in and the added insoles do not become a problem.Overall these are great shoes for the price.

These shoes, like my other Merrell Shoes, are great! I was originally worried that these might be some kind of "knock-off" brand but they are not. I found out that the new sole emblem is actually real and that that manufacturer is a new "partner" with Merrell.This color looks really nice. It is nicer than the picture shown in the ad. The grey and black contrast is quite pleasing to the eye. They fit like Merrells usually fit and they are very comfortable. As usual, the in-soles are removable so as to allow for insertion of your own custom orthotic. This shoe runs TRUE-TO-SIZE--don't play games with sizing, you will be sorry. I purchased a 1/2 sized larger than needed because I sometimes wear thick athletic socks when I do my walking. Additionally, the soles are very "grippy" and will serve you well on most all surfaces. However, remember NO sole will guarantee you will never slip it is just that these soles provide great traction.This particular model IS NOT WATERPROOF! If you want waterproof you will pay more and you must look for the special waterproof label on the side of the Merrell Shoe (all the waterproof models have this label). If you go for waterproof you will pay more and your feet will feel a little "warmer" inside when you have them on.Well that's my story. Good shoes! Good value! Not knock-offs! Buy them, you will be happy. Great color.

The Merrell Men’s Moab 3 are like hiking on clouds—if clouds had amazing traction. The arch support and cushioning are spot on, making long hikes feel like a breeze. If you want a rugged shoe that’s as durable as it is comfortable, the Moab 3 is your new best trail buddy.

These hiking shoes held up well on a long hike (5 miles+) in the rain and mud last week. They are comfortable right out of the box. The only real con to me is that I don't love the style. They aren't the prettiest hiking shoes. I recommend gettting some decent hiking socks to help with any rubbing issues. The shoes were true to size for me -- I also like that the toe box is not too narrow, which helps prevent toe cramming on the downhills. Happy hiking'!

I would not bother to post pictures because original images are precisely what you get. This is my second pair, and that was the reason I purchased it in the first place. The first pair is still serving me strong, but I need a similar pair in a different location. Highly recommend as hiking shoes, very steady with amazing grip and super comfortable for all day hiking.

They were true to size and fit perfectly when I first put on my feet. I’ve had a few pairs of Merrel’s before. They did not disappoint.I usually replace my insoles & get some with a little better metatarsal support. Most people don’t need as these shoes offer good support already
