MONTANACans Empty Acrylic Marker, 15mm, Clear

I bought these markers for the sole reason as to be edge dye markers for leatherworking. After so long I found a great tool for dying edges. These markers hold a large amount of dye and do not leak. It has a push to fill action and has great retention in the fibers on the chisel. It also works well as a regular marker I would imagine but Ive only used it for dying edges.

Why are there 2 shown? That's sneaky seller deception there. I purchased this to fill with dykem layout fluid. Works great ! I saw a recent review by a machinist that obviously had the same intentions. His negative review had me skeptical. But in reality it's not the products fault. The fill cap is left handed threads, or what some people call reverse threads . I wouldn't expect a plastic cap to stand up to an adjustable wrench turning it the wrong way. Not a very good machinist obviously.

Docked one star because, at time of purchase (summer 2019), image shows(ed) TWO cans, one with cap off, one with cap on. Conveys that "an order" is 2 cans. Though the text was "not plural", a bullet point needs to be added to emphasize that an order is for ONE CAN.The item itself is quite well-made. For 20 years, we've been looking for a brush or dauber system for application of herbicide concentrate to perennial weeds that are co-mingled with valued plants. Other options either risked drips (sponge paintbrush + cup of product) or had nibs prone to shredding on woody stems. These hard felt nibs are great and drips are a non-issue.When filling/ refilling, work over a bucket -- if the valve unit comes apart, the spring is almost guaranteed to launch into oblivion. (Besides, you need to contain any herbicide drips.)So far we have only trialed with water-based herbicide. Will trial petroleum-based products in coming months (may destroy device).

this thing is huge! I havent used it yet just got it today but as soon as I put some leather dye in it I'll be using it to dye edges on belts and holsters and whatever else I can. ***ITS THREADS ARE REVERSED SO DONT TRY TO OPEN IT THE REGULAR WAY!!****^*^UPDATE*^*^ this pen is PERFECT for edge dying whatever you need dyed..it doesn't leak and it holds ALOT of dye! And the coverage is much better than using a wool dauber as well as it goes where you want it. Buy a couple of these and you will not be disappointed!

After swearing at the lids not coming off, I realized they were left hand thread - once you get past getting the lid off they're awesome. I use mine for acrylic leather edge paint for which they work perfectly. The replaceable nibs are a nice feature too, so if they get messed up or I want to change colors or something it's as simple as replacing that piece and not the entire can.

I have used these dyeing edges of leather. Leatherwork is a hobby. Gives a much cleaner, more precise edge than wool daubers. Well made. I'll buy more. 5-stars.

This dye/paint marker works wonders. I prefer to use dyes because the sponge will soak up the dye better rather than something thicker. Easy to use and not messy at all
